Beaten 10L by the winner admittedly. He did pull 11L clear of the 3rd horse however. He boasts a win and 2 places from 5 runs at this track. With the win coming off a 2lbs lower mark than this. He's got a little bit of work to do to reverse form with Just Dottie based on his penultimate run. Having finished 5L behind that horse. He's 5lbs better off with that horse this time. The yard are in fine fettle at the moment. The ground is in his favour. He should go well on these terms.

Winds Of Winter won at Cartmel on good to soft and then followed up at Hexham once more on good to soft, which she will be meeting for the third time, as it rained all day yesterday and more than likely been the same at Perth. Johnathan Bewley has the ride for a family relative, George Bewley. She won by eleven lengths at Hexham by sitting off the pace and staying on really well, which she can bring to the third with being in good form.

Spit Spot is one of the younger and possibly more progressive horses in this race, could show some improvement today, unexposed at handicap level. Ran well over a slightly longer distance last time out, faded late on so this small drop in trip could be much more suitable.

Caldwell is having his first run back from a rest so he may just need the run but, this good , in-form trainer usually has them in good shape first time back from a rest. This horse does have good form in the book at this level , can be running well from this current rating.
