The Haggas team have a good one, but I am going for this debutant from a stable still in form. An interesting jockey booking, James Doyle, does not ride many for this trainer.

Has shown plenty of promise in 2 starts to date, finishing 4th on each occasion, including over this course and distance last time. Improvement likely and holds an each-way chance.

MOONSHINE, a well-bred, unraced two-year-old filly by Starman, is a half-sister to Urban Sprawl, a winner of six races between 7f and 1m. She should run well on her racecourse debut and could well be able to win this race.

Sapphire Steps is a 2yo colt trained by Richard Hannon. He is out of a dam yet to produce any foals to win but is out of a dam and grand dam that produced 38 wins, seven of which placed or won pattern races. He is a 38,000gns yearling. Dam Hidden Steps was a 7f/1m winner and won on debut as a 2yo, so quite forward in her condition. The yard won this in 2020 and 2022. Interesting at 12-1 under Sean Levey for a trainer that has picked up 70 winning 2yo at Newbury.

Wondrous makes her debut in a race that lacks standout experience. She's bred to be useful - by Acclamation out of Qafilah, a mare who stayed a mile well. Trained by a yard that does well with 2YO newcomers, especially on quicker ground, and drawn to get a good position if she breaks smartly. Decent price offered, all things considered.

Daughter of little-known sire Sergei Prokofiev, this filly. Trainer Meehan is firing, and so too is jockey Charles Bishop, an experienced horseman who should suit this horse. Has drawn out, so deserves to be at longer odds on that score over this trip. But with a bit of luck and held up for a last run at them, could be in the frame.

Rod Millman and Hollie Doyle combine here, and both are going well in the last fortnight. Drawn to take advantage and is by sprinting sire Blue Point, so looks well suited to the trip.
