Finished 6th of 10 on maybe unsuitable soft (heavy in places) last time out with rating 63. Better good going today with just the odd spot of good to soft with rating down to 62 and interesting jockey change with S De Sousa coming into the saddle.

White Umbrella is in stall 6, which is a solid draw for this 6f trip and comes here in great form after a confident 1-length win at Wolverhampton just 32 days ago. She has been consistent, only raised 6lb since her last win, and looks well treated off a mark of 68. Trained by Chris Kellett and ridden by Christian Howarth, she handles this class and ground well and has proven she can win wearing cheekpieces. With ten runs at this distance and two wins, she should be ready to go again and looks like a strong chance here. The pace should be honest, and she will likely be prominent, giving her every chance to make it back-to-back wins today.

Tsarina's Song can go well here in the last for the in-form Andrew Balding yard. It had shown promise in its maiden runs and was a beaten favorite on its handicap debut. It could certainly be involved in the finish here if getting some luck in running.

Clive Cox has Tropical Heat lining up in this open-looking handicap, with a good many open to progress, just leaving maiden company, just like Tropical Heat. Harry Davies may have his mount settled off the pace, knowing this filly, who is by Mohaather, can bring to the fore of her pedigree to be capable of running well with the step up to seven furlongs. Having raced three times this term and being dropped a couple of pounds might be the advantage she requires for success.

I think Oscars Sister is worthy of a small stake here. The reason for the form 'blob' last time was mainly because the saddle slipped after a few furlongs. Prior to that the horse had shown ability over the trip and at these prices the animal could surprise. Small stakes as said.

Three year old filly Sangara makes her turf debut. Her dam got off the mark, following plenty of unplaced efforts, in the July of her three year old season. Sangara's career best effort came over today's distance on a flat track. Haydock can suit. The ground may soften and this should be ok as the dam went well with give in the ground. The stable saddled a winner on Monday.
