3:50 Haydock Tips

I thought Arnaz was a touch unlucky when denied a clear run, finishing third of seven at Yarmouth on the penultimate start. Didn't get going until too late when fourth of seventeen last time out but ran on okay.

Changed hands a few months ago to Tony Carroll's stable and has had 3 runs for him. Looked a lot better last time out with a 1-length second at Donny and may now be back on track.

Royal Musketeer returned from a short break to two decent runs, finishing third and then second on turf, both off a 68. Still on that mark today, but has a handy 7 lbs claimer onboard, which could be enough to get back on the top step.

Forever My Prince is an interesting runner in this grade. This three-year-old has already showed on turf at Newmarket and Windsor. A win at Lingfield on soft ground preceded this. Relatively unexposed compared to most, he has a chance dipping in grade.

Goes into this race off low weight, is improving and running in higher race values as time goes on. Not disgracing, was a good run behind Arabian Cobra last time out.

Lord Abama looks quite a tempting price in this six-furlong handicap. He won at Thirsk last time, before the yard was in any kind of form. The second ran well after that at Doncaster, and the third won at Carlisle next time. He won that race off a mark of 70 and rises four pounds here. However, Rhys Elliott claims five pounds, effectively reducing the mark to 69. The yard has been flying this week, and I expect a very bold show.

Has shown enough in his last two starts that he should be competitive in his handicap debut today and course debut. It is off a tricky starting mark, but it looks like he has some ability.

Still running at a mark well below first career win. Recent win came on good/soft, with identical ground conditions. Could see a place here.
