American singer Taylor Swift is in the running for the Time Person of the Year award with the publication announcing their nominees ahead of their reveal on Wednesday.

Time announced that Swift was one of 9 candidates who are up for the award this year and bookmakers have their final odds list with Swift at the top.
With odds of 2/1, Swift is one of the main people in the running for Person of the Year ahead of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman who has made plenty of headlines this year.

British monarch King Charles III also is one of the big contenders for Time Person of the Year in his first full year as head of the United Kingdom and other territories.
2023 was the year that he was officially crowned as King back in May and that was one of the biggest moments of the year as he took over from the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Queen Elizabeth was previously named Person of the Year when she was crowned Queen back in 1952 and it may be a repeat here with the King winning the award.
