Israel's chances of winning this year's Eurovision Song Contest have strengthened massively according to bookies with their odds now just 9/4 to win this weekend.

UK Betting Sites have seen a surge in bets on Israel to win the whole thing this weekend and that has seen their odds slashed from 50/1 to 9/4 in the space of just 48 hours.

Israel qualified for the Song Contest on Thursday evening after getting through the second semi-final and a series of protests took place throughout the day in host city Malmo.

Further protests are expected to happen on Saturday ahead of the final of the famous Song Contest but the latest odds from Bet365 says there's a 30.8% chance that Israel wins.

Croatia are still top of the betting odds to win Eurovision despite that big odds change for Israel with Baby Lasagna's Rim Tim Tagi Dim set to be a big contender.

The latest odds keep Croatia the clear favourites to win this year's Eurovision a 50% chance of doing so according to the odds.

Croatia impressed massively in Semi-Final 1 and will be looking to win the whole thing for the first time in their history this weekend.
