United Kingdom are 14/1 in the latest market

The latest betting market puts the United Kingdom out to 14/1 to win Eurovision in 2025 with the UK not crowned as winners since 1997 when Katrina and the Waves won with "Love Shine a Light".

Last year saw Olly Alexander finish in 18th place out of the 25 competing countries with a total of 46 points won all coming from the Jury vote with 0 points scored from Televoting.

We've not been told as of yet who will represent the UK at Eurovision 2025 but the BBC confirmed that "leading UK music industry figure David May" will be the man who leads the choosing of representation for the first time since he picked Sam Ryder back in 2022.

Switzerland will host the event after winning Eurovision 2024

The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest is set to be held in St. Jakobshalle, Basel, on Saturday 17 May after Switzerland won the last year's event.

There were several host cities applications put forward for Eurovision with Geneva coming runner-up to Basel for selection as host of the iconic Song Contest.

St. Jakobshalle will host with a capacity of just over 12,000 and it'll be a massive night of action as Eurovision always is with 26 countries going against each other to be crowned winner.

Swiss singer Nemo won last year's Eurovision with song The Code which is why Switzerland will be hosting the show in 2025.
