United Kingdom are now as big as 33/1 to win Eurovision following Mae Muller's announcement as their entrant
The long wait has ended on Thursday morning with United Kingdom's entrant for the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest officially being announced.
25-year-old Mae Muller will represent the UK at Eurovision with her track I Wrote A Song hoping to follow in the footsteps of Sam Ryder last year.
Bookmakers though have said that this damages the chance of the UK winning the song contest with their odds drifting from 10/1 to 33/1 overnight.
Bet365 now say there's just a 2.9% chance that Muller and the UK wins Eurovision this year according to their betting odds.

Sweden now as short as EVENS to win this year's Eurovision Song Contest
Sweden remain the favourites for this year's Eurovision Song Contest with betting sites shortening the countries odds to evens from 5/4 to win the event in May.
Their Melodifestivalen event reaches it's final stage on Saturday where they will choose who will represent Sweden at the Song Contest.
Former winner Loreen is looking like representing her country again with her performance in Heat 4 putting her straight into Saturday's final and this has seen Sweden's odds come tumbling down to win.
Loreen won Eurovision back in 2012 with her winning song 'Euphoria' arguably one of the most recognisable Song Contest performances in the history of the competition.
When will 2023's Eurovision Song Contest take place?
The 2023 Eurovision Song Contest is set to take place on May 13 2023 live from the Liverpool Arena in Liverpool, United Kingdom.
Graham Norton will host the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 alongside Alesha Dixon, Hannah Waddingham and Julia Sanina.
Tickets went on sale earlier this week for the Semi-Final's, Final and other rehearsal events across the week and they all sold out in a matter of hours.
