The Brutalist and Conclave now neck and neck for Best Film at the BAFTAs
With nominations now revealed for the 2025 BAFTAs, UK Betting Sites are now offering odds on some of the biggest awards on the night and not many get bigger than Best Film.
The Brutalist is the favourite to win the award this year with the betting market putting the movie at 11/10 to win the award with a busy awards season starting to get underway.
Brady Corbet's historical drama looks at László Tóth, a Hungarian-born Jewish architect who survives the holocaust and emigrates to the United States to pursue the American dream.
Betting on the category is tight though with Conclave only slightly behind The Brutalist to win Best Film with odds of 5/4 currently offered for the Edward Berger to be crowned winner.
According to William Hill's latest betting odds there's just a 3.2% difference in probability given between the two films of winning.
BAFTAs 2025 Best Film | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
The Brutalist | 11/10 | 47.6% |
Conclave | 5/4 | 44.4% |
Emilia Perez | 7/2 | 22.2% |
Anora | 8/1 | 11.1% |
A Complete Unknown | 25/1 | 3.8% |

Brutalist star Adrien Brody favourite for Leading Actor
Adrien Brody tops the betting odds to win the Leading Actor award at the BAFTAs next month but it's more of the same in this category with the top two in the market neck and neck.
Brody is nominated for his role in The Brutalist but Conclave star Ralph Fiennes is following right behind him in the latest betting odds for this award.
Fiennes sits at 5/4 with Brody currently odds-on at 10/11 to win Leading Actor in what looks like an ultra-competitive market.
BAFTAs 2025 Leading Actor | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Adrien Brody - The Brutalist | 10/11 | 52.4% |
Ralph Fiennes - Conclave | 7/4 | 36.4% |
Timothee Chalamet - A Complete Unknown | 3/1 | 25.0% |
Hugh Grant - Heretic | 7/1 | 12.5% |
Colman Domingo - Sing Sing | 20/1 | 4.8% |
2025 BAFTA Film Awards will take place on Sunday 16 February
This year's BAFTAs is once again set to be held at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall after moving there from the Royal Albert Hall in 2023.
As always the show will be aired on BBC One and the BBC iPlayer with a two-hour event usually shown on the network.
David Tennant is set to return to host the event for the second year in-a-row after impressing at the 2024 BAFTAs.
