Paddington meeting the Queen during the Platinum Jubilee is 1/20 favourite for Memorable Moment award
The Television BAFTA Awards take place later this month and UK Betting Sites are giving odds on the winners of a number of awards including Memorable Moment.
The Memorable Moment award is the only award at the BAFTAs that is voted by the public and the category was created back in 2017 with it being one of the newer ones given at the event.
According to the BAFTAs voting page for the award it's been brought in for, "honouring the impact of television in the UK which has the power to entertain, inform and bring the nation together."
Betway say there's a 95% chance that the Queen meeting Paddington at the Platinum Jubilee is the Memorable Moment winner this year with it leading the way in the betting market.
BAFTA TV Awards Memorable Moment | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Paddington Meets The Queen | 1/20 | 95.2% |
Sir Mo Farah reveals he was illegally trafficked to UK | 10/1 | 9.1% |
The Traitors - Final Roundtable | 16/1 | 5.9% |
Derry Girls - The Finale | 20/1 | 4.8% |
Heartstopper - Nick & Charlie kiss | 50/1 | 2.0% |
Stranger Things - Max's Rescue | 50/1 | 2.0% |
Sir Mo Farah revealing he was illegally trafficked to the UK is 10/1 second favourite
Although the Queen meeting Paddington is clear at the top of the market there are still five other nominations for the Memorable Moment BAFTA.
Sir Mo Farah's documentary The Real Mo Farah goes into detail about his life and discusses in that how he was forcibly brought to the UK.
Farah reveals, “Most people know me as Mo Farah, but it’s not my name or it’s not the reality. The real story is I was born in Somaliland, north of Somalia, as Hussein Abdi Kahin. Despite what I’ve said in the past, my parents never lived in the UK.”
This would arguably lead the way in the betting if the Queen and Paddington wasn't so viral at the time of it happening but it still has a 10/1 chance of winning.
