Taylor Swift won the award this year after a massive 12 months for the singer

Taylor Swift was announced as the 2023 Time Person of the Year last week with the magazine's editor-in-chief Sam Jacobs giving the reasoning behind the decison.

"Swift found a way to transcend borders and be a source of light," said Jacobs piece last Wednesday which went into detail around the pop singer being voted ahead of political leaders around the globe.

The Time Person of the Year is a massive accolade and one that will only contribute further to Swift's global influence.
