Elon Musk is the 6/4 favourite to win the Time Person of the Year award

Businessman and current Twitter CEO Elon Musk remains the 6/4 favourite with UK Betting Sites to win the Time Person of the Year award for 2023.

Musk won the award back in 2021 with Time stating that it was due to “the continuing decline of traditional institutions in favour of individuals."

With Tesla being one of the biggest companies in the world and Musk having a massive impact on the electric vehicle market it may be that he wins the award again this year.

Paddy Power say there's a 40% chance that Musk is voted the Time Person of the Year for the second time in the space of 3 years.

Joe Biden second favourite for the award in what is due to be a big year

US President Joe Biden is the second favourite with bookies to win the Time Person of the Year award with a 21% chance according to those latest betting odds.

Biden is of course set for a massive year with the presidential campaign for 2024 hitting a crucial stage and it may well be that this makes Time consider him as a Person of the Year.

Donald Trump is looking to go against Biden again to be US President and is 17/1 to be Time Person of the Year with another presidential candidate in Ron DeSantis at 11/1 for the award.

Other Musk specials given at the start of the year included odds of 4/1 that he sells Twitter at some point in 2023

There are even more betting specials around Elon Musk's 2023 with odds of 4/1 that the businessman will sell Twitter at some point this year.

Musk acquired the social media company in October 2022 for $44 billion after originally backing out from his April offer.

The takeover has since reportedly been a big headache for Musk and Star Sports gave odds of 4/1 for him to sell it on in 2023 back at the start of January, with the market no longer available.

This gave a 20% chance of that happening with Musk potentially wanting to cut his losses already after constant backlash of his handling of the company.
