First Impression of DAZN Bet

By Luke Bradshaw Lee - In this DAZN Bet review, I registered using their app, but also logged in onto their desktop for comparison.

It’s difficult not to feel at home very quickly when signing and up and betting with DAZN Bet. The site, and app, are streamlined and slick, the layout has everything you’d want without feeling cluttered and as soon as you start heading to sports that you like you realise that the odds are great.

It doesn’t even matter what you’re into because at first glance it appears that DAZN Bet has markets for pretty much everything that you’d expect. 

DAZN Bet Live Betting

As you’d expect, live in-play betting is available on DAZN Bet with supporting graphics keeping you up to date with the action as it happens. In-play betting gives a large variety of betting markets with not much difference in the pre-match and in-play markets that are available. DAZN Bet don't feature in our best bookmakers for in-play betting list but do still remain highly thought of when it comes to live betting.

DAZN Bet Betting App or Mobile Site 

DAZN Bet allows their ongoing promotions to be taken advantage of by their app users, and overall I think I probably preferred the app to the desktop version of the site. The app has been optimised to give you a great betting experience and my guess is that this is where the focus has been during product development.

DAZN Bet Football Betting

DAZN Bet have great football odds, taking on rivals head to head and competing favourably on many occasions. To keep an eye on how they do, please see the brilliant Odds Comparison article, which updates the best football odds every month. Above are details on which sports DAZN Bet were most competitive last month. I couldn’t find any that were literally the best in the industry – they will always come up short against exchange betting sites etc. – but they are very good across most sports.

Bet Builder 

There’s an absolute ton of competitions that you can use their bet builder feature with. There’s also a good enough selection of markets within these, although I like to see a few more (there are no player fouls committed, or player tackles), but to be honest, these might be added closer to the time. You can delve into this in more detail on our 10 best bet builder sites.

Bonuses

DAZN Bet offers Bet Boosts that are available for any sport, or market, and usually, are based around the top sporting events of the day. 

The boosts differ from day to day with Football and Horse Racing taking precedence at the weekend, but during the week you may find some snooker or tennis bet boosts. In some cases, the boosts are connected to something happening within the event, such as a team winning by xxx goals or a horse winning by xxx lengths.

Cash Out

Unsurprisingly, Cash Out is available at DAZN Bet. It’s a feature that is now par for the course for bookmakers, so it’s reassuring to see it here. The cash out offered on a bet that I placed was neither incredible, nor awful, but pretty much bang on what I’ve come to expect from the feature generally.

DAZN Bet Horse Racing

The horse racing section at DAZN Bet is pretty good, although there is no live streaming. There’s the usual selection of Winner, Each Way, Forecast and Tricast, all at impressive odds. There are extra places on selected races and you can use DAZN Bet’s acca bonus when making your selections. The other downside is that there is on Best Odds Guaranteed. DAZN Bet US Sports Betting

A full range of American Sports is available, so let's tackle them individually.

American Football Betting

When you land on an American football section, you want to see game lines, with spread, total and moneyline markets right there. Thankfully, you get that at DAZN Bet. Some UK bookmakers try to Anglicise US sports, but removing the spread is completely the wrong thing to do as it’s the main thing punters look for from the off, so it’s great to see DAZN Bet avoiding this common mistake. Basketball Betting

DAZN Bet has great basketball event coverage from all over the world. There are plenty of NBA betting options as well as odds from the biggest matches in Europe, including France, Germany, Russia, the UK. In terms of markets, you’ll find moneyline, total points and handicaps, plus plenty more. You can also bet in-play, with odds available quarter by quarter. Baseball Betting

For MLB, you can choose from markets such as the outright winner of the series, the two teams that make it to the World Series, as well as all the usuals – Run Line, Winning Margin and Team To Score First Run and so on.

Ice Hockey Betting

You’ll obviously get a big NHL focus on DAZN Bet given the league’s status, but you’ll also find competitions in South Korea, Sweden, Austrai and more. Their betting markets include Puck Line, Money Line, Total Goals, Highest Scoring Period, Double Chance, Winning Margin, Win/Draw/Win Betting and a selection of 3-Way Handicaps. 

DAZN Bet Darts Betting

In terms of darts betting sites in the UK, DAZN Bet is really good. They offer markets for so many different tournaments. The big PDC events are a given, of course, but on top of that you’ll find the Masters, UK Open, World Cup of Darts, World Series of Darts, World Grand Prix and the European Championship.

DAZN Bet Snooker Betting

By Steve Madgwick - Regardless of the time of year, you will find outright markets on the game’s three biggest events – the World Championships, the UK Championships and The Masters –  at all times on DAZN Bet. Other events feature throughout the snooker season, although the number of markets available for these smaller tournaments obviously diminishes.

DAZN Bet Rugby Betting (Union & League)

It’s great to see some bet boosts for different rugby markets here as you don’t get that everwhere. Rugby betting markets (across League and Union) offered for individual matches include 3-Way Handicap, Total Points, Winning Margin and a range of Try Scorer options. 

There does need to be more markets per match, but the odds that they do have are very good when compared to our best Rugby betting sites.

DAZN Bet Cricket Betting

By James Banting - It’s nice to see some promotions going on given that the Cricket World Cup is underway. Here there are some bet boosts, and some on pre-made bet builders which look great value. The event coverage is excellent, with domestic competitions in India, Australia and the UAE all there, as well as outrights for future World Cups and the Ashes, also. Betway currently tops our Best Cricket betting site right now, with huge market depth, great odds and lots of promotions. DAZN Bet actually matches them odds-wise, so hopefully they can up their market depth and they’ll be in with a shout of being one of the best around.

DAZN Bet Tennis Betting

There are all the majors listed for next year, with outrights offered on all, and for upcoming matches there is a decent selection of ATP matches, as well as Challenger Series matches across the world. There’s also some enhanced accas offered at the time of review which is always nice to see. On top of that, I really like the in-play stats package that they do – there’s a lot of info packed in and it’s displayed cleanly and succinctly. If they could add in more markets then they’d definitely be closer to getting into the top 10 tennis betting sites on OLBG.

DAZN Bet Golf Betting

By James Banting - It’s hard to fault the golf output here. There are ante post markets on all the majors, as well as the Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup. There are also LIV Golf Events, and smaller golf tournaments that are closer on the horizon. You will find golf odds on the likes of Top 5 and Top 10 Finish, Round Leaders and Dual Forecast right here, and even Hole In One markets. 

DAZN Bet Motorsports Betting

By Andy Powell - With a wide variety of betting markets covering everything from Formula 1, all the way through to the Formula E Drivers Championship, Speedway and V8 Supercars, the motorsports offering is excellent here. Motorcycling and speedway are also covered, but under different tabs, so it’s hard to see where this can be improved because the odds are really competitive, too. 

DAZN Bet Boxing Betting

I find that the boxing betting odds cover a range of markets. Of course, you can bet on the fight winner for all bouts, but there is also a vast range of other markets, including, but not limited to, Round Betting, Total Rounds (Under/Over), Round Group Betting and Will The Fight Go The Distance.

DAZN Bet Other Sports Betting

Whilst these sports might sound very niche, there is a massive market for fans, and millions of them in the UK, so good coverage of niche sports and events is key to be reviewed on OLBG; let’s dig in.

Handball Betting

Handball is increasingly popular and DAZN Bet looks to be offering plenty for punters to bet on various handball events and tournaments worldwide. Markets include Win/Draw/Win, Handicap, Total Goals, Win Match and Draw No Bet markets, all with in-play and cash out available. As well as the World Championships and Champions League, there are domestic competitions in Denmark, France, Poland, Turkey and more. 

Cycling Betting

DAZN Bet offers betting on cycling for sports bettors who like to dabble in cycling betting, and comparing it with others out there it’s excellent. There are markets for the classics like Paris-Roubaix, Milan-San Remo and the Tour of Flanders, and that’s obviously on top of the three major tours. As well as road racing, however, DAZN Bet also covers the Olympics and World Championships, with events including Omnium, Madison, Team Pursuit, Keirin and Time Trial.

Esports Betting 

Parimatch has a decent presence when it comes to mainstream betting, but they have loads of betting available on esports markets. Betting is available on games such as DOTA 2, Counter-Strike, League of Legends and FIFA as well as many others. Esports betting is of course not as traditional as normal betting markets but it's popularity is increasing as gaming grows in size year-by-year. Political Betting

By Nigel Skinner - The political betting section is laid out nicely and easy to navigate. Split into US Politics and UK Politics, you can do a deeper dive into the UK once you’re in, beyond the US Presidential election and UK General Election. There are markets for the London Mayoral race, next party leaders and next Prime Minister, as well as Labour Party and Conservative Party specials.

Unfortunately there isn’t anything beyond the UK or US, and I’d like to see some more interesting markets, such as moat seats, or by-election stuff, so overall DAZN Bet delivers a decent job, if a little unimaginative. You can compare them to other political betting options and see if you agree.

Entertainment and Specials

There are markets on all the major reality shows running at the moment – that means Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing on Ice, Big Brother and the upcoming BBC Sports Personality of the Year. On top of that there are plenty of markets for next year’s Oscars and Emmys.

DAZN Bet Account Opening Process

A reassuringly easy process. At the top-right of the screen DAZN Bet has their “Register” button. Bettors just need to select this and follow the simple steps as guided through. You’ll be asked for the usual information – name, date of birth, address etc – and once complete be sent a verification email. Clicking this from your inbox will redirect you to the site, and then you’re free to get betting.

Navigation and user experience [desktop v mobile]

The DAZN Bet app is very good. The desktop version of the site works seamlessly, but the app does exactly what you want, and that is to not feel too far removed when you switch from one device to the next, but also being product-led, and designed to suit its purpose, rather than just be a mobile version. The DAZN Bet app feels really clean, and is super simple to navigate, but I will repeat that issue with the double menu bar at the bottom which still feels superfluous. 

Placing a bet

This section should only really highlight if there are issues, as the process is almost identical on every site. Within a few minutes of signing up to DAZN Bet I placed a couple of bets on different sports, one of which took advantage of the welcome offer, and I used their bet builder feature, which was very good indeed. 

Managing your account

As mentioned above, the design really helps this along. On the desktop version, it’s stuff to the  left of the screen. On the app, it’s all at the bottom, with just the login at the top. I haven’t experienced any issues logging in, or finding customer service options, either. Overall, it feels like DAZN Bet has got this part nailed.

DAZN Bet Review Summary 

Overall, DAZN Bet is a very solid betting option.

Punters already know about the football and racing odds, but every sport that you take a look at has both a large range in competitions covered, as well as great odds on plenty of markets. I really struggled to find things that I couldn’t bet on and I particularly like the betting options for football, the NFL and rugby. There are regular odds boosts, enhanced accas, and every single sports page has a tonne of useful information underneath the markets, something that is great for beginners bettors and will absolutely help with player retention.

The downside is the lack of live streaming and Best Odds Guaranteed, but as an overall product, DAZN Bet are ticking a lot of boxes and that’s pretty impressive for a relatively new bookie.
