December Trainers

A really good end to November means we have an outside chance of finishing the year in profit.  A small but select bunch to go to war with this month, I would have liked more but the stats have only suggested nine so we'll put them all together this month.  We have Six NH (one Irish) and three AW, the figures are strong, four return after showing a profit last year so lets hope we have a strong end to the year.

NH GB

NICKY RICHARDS (ALL)

Greystoke trainer who was the star of the show last year with +£37.55 LSP, not scared to take on the big boys and has some talent in his stable.

  • 2015  9/22  41%   +£6.17
  • 2016  6/27  22%   +£7.00
  • 2017  6/28  21%   +£2.25
  • 2018  9/30  30%  +£21.83

Plenty of early price gains last year so get on early as the stable can land a gamble or two.

TOM LACEY (ALL)

Another back from last year and last month, he made a small profit for us last year so he gets in again.

  • 2014  1/6  17%    +£2.50
  • 2015  2/8  25%     (£0.50)
  • 2016  4/13 31%   +£15.57
  • 2017  6/22 27%   +£ 4.13
  • 2018  5/29 19%    (£7.88)

Our own figures last year were almost 10 points better than the SP figures and two winners and a second from the last four runners means he comes into the month in decent form.

NICKY HENDERSON (NON BUMPERS)

A blog regular who I'm sat watching having multiple nice priced winners on the last day of November!

  • 2015     9/29     31%      (£6.36)
  • 2016    23/95    24%      (£27.73)
  • 2017    26/78    33%     +£23.13
  • 2018    24/84    29%     +£27.06

Fantastic strike rate and the LSP to match in the last two years, as we have already alluded comes into the month in fine form.  Surprisingly he's 3/21 and (£14.13) with his Bumper runners over the same period.

SANDY THOMPSON (ALL)

Berwickshire trainer who will give us interest in the Northern tracks.

  • 2015     3/10     30%     (£2.51)
  • 2016     1/10     10%     (£4.00)
  • 2017     3/12     25%   +£11.75
  • 2018     5/20     25%   +£14.62

Solid stuff especially over the last couple of years, should prove a useful addition.

REBECCA MENZIES (ALL)

We finish with another Northern trainer, not quite as far north but will frequent the likes of Hexham, Sedgefiled, Newcastle etc.

  • 2013     3/12     25%     +£3.57
  • 2014     2/15     13%     +£22.00
  • 2015     2/8       25%     +£13.00
  • 2016     5/17     29%     +£38.15
  • 2017     1/18      6%       (£12.50)
  • 2018     7/29     24%     +£34.33

Just one blemish in a 6 year period apart from that a really good set of figures.

NH IRELAND

HENRY DE BROMHEAD

Becoming a regular and boasts the services of of the brilliant Rachel Blackmore, has some decent figures with all his December runners but his Hurdlers stand out.

  • 2014     4/21     19%     +£11.75
  • 2015     2/16     13%      (£10.59)
  • 2016     3/27     11%      (£ 5.00)
  • 2017     9/37     24%     +£68.33
  • 2018    11/49    22%     +£46.84

A couple of bad years in 2015 and 2016 but it's got to be worth the gamble that we have a repeat of any of the last two years which have been massive.

AW GB

WILLIE HAGGAS (ALL)

Newmarket trainer back from last month, solid figures in December.

  • 2015     8/22     36%     +£12.10
  • 2016     2/13     15%      (£7.89)
  • 2017     3/10     30%     +£4.73
  • 2018     4/11     32%     +£8.00

Won't have loads of runners but usually generates a good strike rate with those he has.

SAEED BIN SUROOR (ALL)

Another Newmarket trainer, back from last year where he gave us a +£11.50 LSP

  • 2014     3/9     33%     (£3.25)
  • 2015     4/16   25%     (£4.15)
  • 2016     2/7     29%     +£1.25
  • 2017     4/7     57%     +£8.51
  • 2018     4/7     57%     +£7.21

Similar comments to Haggas but should be a good addition to the portfolio.

SIMON DOW (ALL)

Last up this month is Epsom trainer Simon Dow he made a tiny loss last year but his previous figures were really good.

  • 2014    4/27     15%     +£24.00
  • 2015    2/15     13%     (£6.25)
  • 2016    8/27     30%     +£74.80
  • 2017    5/16     31%     +£1.82
  • 2018    1/9       11%     (£4.50)

Comes into the month with winners at 11/1 and 11/4 on the last day of November!

As always please leave any comments below, sorry we don't have more to follow but I can only go with what the stats say.  Hope you all have a great Christmas.
