Horse Racing Trainers To Follow in July (The Irish Angle)

Plenty to go at over the water this month, four back from last July, a couple of old favorites and something from left field. In total we have two flat, two NH and one that doubles up on both.

Irish Flat

JONNY MURTAGH (3yo+)

We'll start with the best performing flat trainer from last July, he gave +£5.00 LSP with his runners.

• 2015 1/13 8% +£ 8.00
• 2016 7/16 44% +£25.25
• 2017 2/18 11% (£5.50)
A little disappointing last year based on what he'd done previously but we showed a profit from his two winners. He actually had a couple of 2yo winners last year but prior to that he was 1/30 so we'll stick to the same criteria as last year.

GER LYONS (ALL)

A blog favorite and if you've read the GB turf blog theses figures have a bit of the "Haggas" about them.

• 2014 12/45 27% +£7.43
• 2015 10/54 19% (£7.10)
• 2016 12/61 20% (£9.02)
• 2017 15/65 23% (£11.97)
I haven't lost my marbles I know it looks like these figures are getting progressively worse but I've bet this guys horses a lot and they shorten up all the time, the SP figures has no bearing on what we can get early morning, I'm certain if we get double figure winners at a 20% strike rate we will make a profit.

WILLIE MULLINS (ALL)

No I haven't made a mistake, we are still on the flat section of the blog!

• 2016 2/4 50% +£5.73
• 2017 4/18 22% +£19.38
How good are those, he's been farming the long distance races, I think he had a 1,2,3 at Royal Ascot and he has a 1,2 this afternoon at the Curragh.

Irish NH

WILLIE MULLINS (ALL)

Ok I admit it, I've gone Mullins mad, but having made us a small profit in the NH blog last year he has to go in again.

• 2015 14/51 27% (£16.23)
• 2016 18/44 41% +£12.54
• 2017 16/43 37% +£4.72
Again solid stuff and plenty of winners means likely BOG gains.

MOUSE MORRIS (CHASE)

Much respected Tipperary trainer most recently noted for Rule the World and First Lieutenant.
• 2014 0/7 0% (£7.00)
• 2015 3/11 27% +£23.50
• 2016 2/11 18% +£61.50
• 2017 1/4 25% +£4.00
Our own figures were +£7.00 LSP last year so he has to go in again.

JOHN E KIELY (NON BUMPERS)

Back again after giving us a small profit last year.
• 2013 2/6 33% +£ 5.50
• 2014 2/5 40% +£ 7.91
• 2015 1/8 13% (£ 6.60)
• 2016 2/12 17% +£ 8.00
• 2017 2/8 25% (£1.50)
Won't have many runners so not much risk involved, steer clear of his Bumpers runners though his stats are 0/9 in the above period.There will be an AW blog hopefully that will be up tomorrow we have no AW until Monday so we won't be missing anything.
