Who will win the AFC Championship ?

NFL Regular Season Schedule

Sixteen AFC teams across the four AFC divisions set out with the aim of initially reaching the post season play offs and then onto the AFC Championship game on Sunday 26th January. The winner of the AFC Championship game will face the NFC Championship winner in Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdrome in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday 9th February 2025.

The regular NFL 18 week season schedule (including one bye week) is as follows (each AFC team will play):

  • The three teams in their division - twice (home & away)
  • Four teams from another division in the AFC - Once
  • Four teams from a division in the NFC - Once
  • The remaining two teams from the AFC who finished in the same divisional position last season - Once
  • An Inter conference match up against a team from another division who finished in the same position the previous season.

This season's Inter conference match up pairings for the 17th game are as follows with the AFC teams playing on the road:

What AFC teams are playing in London ?

The AFC East's New York Jets play the Minnesota Vikings in the first of this season's NFL London Games when they meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 6th October (14:30). The following weekend sees the AFC South's Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Chicago Bears back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 13th October (14:30). The final NFL London clash in 2024 sees the Jacksonville Jaguars move across London to the Wembley Stadium when they meet the AFC East's New England Patriots. The seven teams representing the AFC Championship will be the four divisional winners plus three wild card spaces which will be the three teams with the best regular season win/loss records who did not win their division. From the four divisional winners, the team with the best win/loss record will receive a valuable first round bye. Who won the AFC North in the 2023/24 season ?

The Baltimore Ravens won the AFC North finishing the regular season with 13 wins (4 losses) which was better than any other NFL team. In what turned out to be a strong division the 2nd (Cleveland Browns) and 3rd (Pittsburgh Steelers) placed teams also made the Play Offs with 11-6 and 10-7 records respectively. Last season's AFC North winners the Cincinnati Bengals also finished with a positive 9-8 record in 4th place.
