Second last month at Newbury and I do think we will see Majaz getting it right in this Maiden Fillies Stakes to land the win. Improving each race and I think Jim Crowley will ride the odds on favourite to victory in this Yarmouth race today.

Heart Of Eternity has shaped with promise in both starts to date, finishing 3rd on both occasions. For me, this horse was crying out for this step up in trip. The trainer/jockey have a good strike rate together, particularly in races of this nature. The race looks winnable on paper. Hopefully, if handling the trip, we should be in the mix at the finish.

Ten Sovereigns, sired filly who was second at Newcastle on debut, has the pedigree to be involved here with progress coming through. Ed Dunlop's horses are running well, and she may upset Majaz, the hot odds-on shot in this race.

Going for the stable's second-string horse here. Velvet Red is in stall 2 for trainer George Boughey with Jack Doughty up and makes her debut as a 3-year-old filly by Wootton Bassett out of the speedy Mironica, who won when she won 2 races over 6f. She is a half-sister to Sirici, a high-class juvenile sprinter, so the pedigree is all speed-focused. Bought for 185,000 euros, so this to me alone is worth the each-way punt here.

Millie's A Minx is a 3yo filly trained by John Ryan, a trainer that does surprisingly well in flat maidens, being 4 winners from his last 17 runners: Warminster 33-1, Soldiers Design 7-1, Roman Centurion 14-1 (here at Yarmouth), and Naina 16-1. He has placed another three, so 7/17 placed and 4/17 wins. Nothing to recommend this horse on form or pedigree, but Ryan's success in such races seems more than coincidence. A wild each-way play!
