4:10 Yarmouth Tips

The seven-year-old mare, Heers Sadie, has won her last two races, which were both at Yarmouth. The first of those was over seven furlongs, and her last race was over today's course and distance. That was a class six apprentice race, which she won by just under a length. With that being an apprentice race, she is able to race off the same mark. Today, her jockey is able to claim five pounds, which can only enhance her chance.

Progressive, who won well last time out at Catterick over 8 furlongs, quickened and kept on. It has a penalty for that, but expect it to be in the first two.

I like the jockey switch here for a horse that has on several occasions failed to settle for other jockeys. That could well be the key, and despite failing to settle, the horse has some form in the book that's good enough to go close off this mark anyway. He was beaten less than a length in his only other run over C&D, and breeding suggests that he's well worth a first try on this softer ground since many of the sire's progeny really acted well on it.

A 7 race maiden but only raced 3 times on turf, placed over a mile and a quarter here last time out. Joined John Ryan last month and third in both starts over a mile and a quarter, with stable debut on the Lingfield polytrack. This drop back in trip could suit.

Lightly raced 5-year-old, one of the few in the race who will handle the soft going. All but 3 career runs have been on AW. Of the 3 turf runs, has won on heavy going. Both jockey and trainer have a good record at Yarmouth.

Anglo Saxon was not bad when second in May when Hollie was last in the saddle off a 58. He has had two duff runs since but has dropped to a 55. It's worth a shot that he can get on with the expected soft going.

Specialist View won on the AW last spring, with an easy win at Southwell. But this mare never built on that success. Returned this year after a wind op, hasn't shown huge improvement, but the latest couple of runs have been more promising, and this mare is now 1 lb below her winning mark.

Embarked could be worth a chance as he was second when last here in April off a 49 at 1 mile. He returns here today off a 46. While not winning yet on turf, he has never raced on soft, which I think could work. EW 4P.

Primrose Maid was nearly today's NAP selection , not quite because a bounce back is needed from the horse so it's NB instead. Slow away last time and could not go the pace of the others over 1m2f at this course, should be happier now dropping back down in distance , most of her best form has been shown at this trip so I'm not ruling out a better run than last time. This rating looks fair, drawn well and soft ground won't be a problem.
