This will be the horses first run in a handicap on decent ground, and he's now 8lb lower than his original handicap mark after racing on the AW or soft ground. Progeny of Kodiac though tend to do just as well on fast ground as they do on soft and it's well worth taking a chance that the horse improves for it. There's also signs that the Hannon runners are starting to go better now and he looks the value against the favourite which has a 6lb rise, a different jockey and was unplaced on his only other run here.

Have this horse not far behind Didaar. Bottom weight here, now running at its comfortable mark, with its best run coming at this mark, distance, and conditions to match today's event. From two runs on Good/Firm, won 1 and a close 2nd, clearly likes today's conditions. Both runs in June, clearly not fazed by the hot weather temp.

Judge Frank is one of John Flint's stable stars, scoring a double last year. Although he lacks a recent race, he has gone well fresh, notably when second on career debut to Iberian, who was then 2nd in the Vintage Stakes Group 2. His last race in October is easily forgiven as the ground had gone, and he was floundering on heavy going. Rob Hornby, who has only two rides, keeps the faith.
