Grey Owl is a strong contender at Salisbury, returning to the scene of his only win. Despite a seasonal layoff, his consistent form and favourable draw make him a serious threat. Wannabeawallaby, having had a recent run, might be a safer bet. Breccia, back on turf, could be in the mix if she recaptures her previous form. Regally Blonde, though an outsider, might benefit from the quick ground conditions. Tipsters recommend Grey Owl for a win, while Breccia and Regally Blonde are suggested for each-way bets.

Grey Owl returns to the scene of his only win, back at Salisbury over the same trip and just 3lb above that mark. He’s been running consistently without quite threatening to win, but this looks a weaker race and he’s drawn well. Should be a serious contender today.

Grey Owl is the only CD winner in this line up but he's coming back from the seasonal lay off and might lack race fitness. Wannabeawallaby had a pipe opener recently, and might be a safer option here.

Only win from 18 starts came at Lingfield in July last year. Has respectable form on the all-weather and holds an each-way chance in this.

Michael Madgwick trains and is coming to Salisbury for a seasonal debut run on grass. I can see him excelling by coming from off the pace, with William Carson getting a good run out of the gelding.

Fram Castle reserves his best form for flat turf and arrives here with a mark of 56. Last summer he was placed at Newbury off 60 and can go close today if fit enough.

Breccia returns to turf today at Salisbury after a couple of quiet runs over hurdles. She’s back on the Flat off a mark of 57, just 3lb above her Wolverhampton win in December. If she can recapture that form, she could be in the mix.

A couple of decent runs over hurdles this year for the 8yo, beaten 3L during Feb, 5L last time out and seems in good shape. Unexposed on the flat with just four previous flat turf runs but should be fine with this 14f trip. On a handy low mark and helped today by a capable apprentice who claims a useful 7lb. Worth an EW shout.

Regally Blonde is quite rightly the outsider in this field, judged on recent form. But this mare makes her return to turf under the quickest going conditions she has met. Back in 2022, she had good form in Ireland on the level but has been in decline since then, mostly over jumps. She is now on an all-time low handicap mark, will be fit from hurdling, but it's the quick ground which could suit. Her sire Mukhadram was a G1 and G2 winner on GF ground, and his offspring act well on quick ground, with the majority of winners and highest percentage coming on GF going.
