4:20 Royal Ascot Tips

Sent off 11/10 fav for the 1000 guineas at Longchamp and although won the race in the stewards room she still ran a very good race. Hasn't encountered this ground before but connections are very hopeful of a good run.

FALAKEYAH looks the real deal and perfectly capable of landing a race of this type based on the quality of the runs up to now and the expected progression.

Trainer Aiden O'Brien only runs two in this race that he has only won twice. January is the pick of Ryan Moore. The 3yo Kingman filly finished 2nd twice to the now 117 rated Desert Flower, although beaten a total of 7L what price would Desert Flower be to win this. She acts on the ground and has a lush draw in 10. For me there are question marks over how strong was the form of the French 2000g which the likely fav here Zarigana was extremely lucky to get in the stewards room and 2nd fav Falakeyah has taking a walk in the market.

She's undefeated in all of her 3 runs & is steadily progressing after 2 wins on the all weather at Wolverhampton over 7f & Kempton over 8f she then won Listed at York over today's trip by 0.5L staying on strongly as the end .

Not the choice of Moore, but I don’t mind that for a horse with solid form who is perhaps a bit more battle hardened compared to some of these. That could pay off here in what should be a bit of a skirmish for the lead, and an overall lack of pace potentially making it. A bit messy. Her form ties her in close with the Fav out of the French1000 which is working out well. She’s had a nice break for this, and just looked way too big a price given her profile. It’s about time Moore gives way on one for Lordan, and I’m hoping this is the one.

Won her one run as a 2-Y-O in a class 4 over 6f in October. Was then off until 4th May when running in the Group 1 1000G over 1m finishing a respectable 5th of 10 only beaten 2 1/2L. Surely more improvement to come so could be the one to chase home the favourite.

Disapointed last time but her previous run reads well when travelling much the best in the 1000 Guineas. has to deal with a bad draw but clearly enough ability to win a race like this.

Is very consistent and big run in the Irish 1000gns Lto, when coming 3/12 beaten 4 lengths to Lake Victoria. Is clearly up to this level, good jockey retains ride and very shrewd trainer does not send that many to the UK, making current 40/1 worth Ew consideration in the race.

D Egan is back on board Cathedral. Last time was a disappointing beaten favourite and came fourth. Horse seemed to hung left and didn't look likely to have a chance. I'm looking forward to a much improved horse running today on this dry ground.

A close up 3rd in the 1000 guinneas at the Curragh on GF ground, her other two races on GF ground were here at Ascot over 6f finishing 1st and 2nd so clearly likes it here as well, a real live e/w outsider at 50s.

Horse number 11 is the favourite, is a good horse but the French trained horses haven't done too well at Ascot this week, that's a worry although horse 11 could win. Duty First isn't miles behind some at the top of the betting. Ran well in defeat when finishing 4th in the Irish 1000 Guineas last time out, possibly on the improve right now so may do a bit better today. First time Cheekpieces for the horse today which may bring about some improvement. Very small each-way tip. Good jockey is booked, from a good yard.
