William Haggas horse now four and seems to be improving won last two races and if the pace is on this side of the track ought to make it three wins this season

Finally broke the hoodoo winning at Newbury after finishing four times on the bounce - once by a head and twice by a short head. Has won a few times prior, and retains top jockey on board

Finished 4th on seasonal reappearance 28 days ago at Salisbury Listed Cathedral Stakes good effort being 1st run for 231 days . Likes it here won over CD in class 3 last July & was 2nd in class 2 last August both on quicker surface but middling draw from stall 12 a slight worry .

This Andrew Balding runner I feel has been aimed at this contest and has had two sighters without troublinmg the judge or being asked a serious question. Brings solid Listed and Group form into this. I fully anticiapte that the 12/1 will not last long.

High class sprinter who has done all his winning at Newmarket but was a very solid 4th off this mark in the Palace of Holyrood House last year. Two starts at HQ this spring should have put him spot on for this and so should run very well.

ZOUM ZOUM is a black-type racer in a handicap feasibly treated. His run in last season's Group 3 Jersey Stakes at this meeting was creditable when fifth at huge odds and he appears to have been strategically targeted this time around. A high draw could still be the best place to be and he looks an outsider of interest.

GERMANIC is not without prospects, who may do better still after getting back on the up when 2nd to Ferrous at Newcastle 6 weeks ago. He has placed twice in five runs (40%) within this sphere (class 2) & has placed once in two runs (50%) for trainer Miss Julie Camacho. One to watch.

Made all when winning in impressive style over a furlong further at Newmarket on penultimate start but disappointed over that same trip here last month when 16th of 17. Reportedly upset in the stalls in that latest race and the first time tongue-tie could help with the drop in trip of appeal too.

Korker arrives in good form having recently struck up a useful looking partnership with today's jockey who again will claim a crucial 7lbs. Korker has yet to run a bad race at ascot and has acquitted himself well in listed races before,so racing with just 8st 13lbs today I think he has definite place claims at least.

This horse won this race in 2023 and looks to have been campaigned to arrive here on an attractive mark to win it again. The booking of Colin Keane certainly catches the eye and this is a really classy horse having gone down by less than half a length in a French Group 1 before which shows he has the ability to win this ultra competitive race again
