Liverpool Star is a 2-year-old gelding trained by Michael & David Easterby. He is 0-2, so he has the benefit of some racecourse experience. He was slowly away on debut in a first-time visor in a class 2 over CD, then showed some really good speed to lead to the 2f marker but weakened in the final furlong in a class 3 at York, posting a career-high RPR of 65, again in a visor, which was a step in the right direction the visor may have been used as an educational piece and are removed today. He is out of a dam, Chasing The Rain (GB), who won a 2-year-old maiden on her third start and opened on 74. She was related to seven individual winners. He's up against two potentially useful debutants from the Fahey and Burke yards, but experience counts for a lot, as only 7.5% of 2-year-old debutants have won at Pontefract since 2012! Liverpool Star is dropped in class today and holds an entry in the Harry's Half Million By Goffs (GBB Race), a class 2 at York, which may also suggest he has been showing something at home.
