Windsor Tips From Racecourse

Races around a mile and a half, horses go both left and right around turns, it’s a bit stop-start, and just when a horse seems to have an advantage, others swallow him/her up.

Windsor as a course is tough to read, and we would advise a cautious approach when evaluating the form of Windsor races for future races at other tracks.

Evening racing, which Windsor specialises in, gives longer study time for tipsters; this will hopefully lead to more winning pieces of horse racing advice.

Windsor Draw Bias

✅ Backing stall 4 at Windsor over a trip of 5f is the most profitable stall and trip combination at Windsor, returning an LSP of +94.38 over the last five years.

❌ When breaking Windsor down into trips, you can look at which stall and trip combination has produced the worst LSP. That would be stall 1 over a trip of 6f, which has, over the last five years, produced an LSP of -108.54.

Here we have the draw bias for Windsor taken into consideration in races with ten or more runners. We will break down the figures by race trips. Draws can be much more important in shorter trips, where runners do not have time to find their position during the race, meaning the draw is probably more important than in races over longer distances.

  • Sprints (5f to 7½f)
  • Mile (1m to 1m1½f)
  • Middle Distance (1m2f to 1m5½f)

The following table shows a breakdown of a group of trips and shows how each position of the draw does, for example, in a twelve-runner race would be Low (Stalls 1-4), Mid (Stalls 5-8) and High (Stalls 9-12). The positions will always be the lowest stall number to the highest.

Windsor Jockey and Trainer Statistics

Who are the best flat jockeys and trainers to bet on at Windsor?

Backing all of the Richard Hannon (Jnr) runners would have produced backing the most winners for a trainer here at Windsor, with thirty-two, but you would have returned a loss by doing so. R M Beckett leads the way for profitable trainers with an LSP of +2.49 from their twenty-six winners. J J Bridger is the trainer to follow at Windsor if you are backing eachway, as they show the best LSP of all the trainers in the eachway markets, that is +59.71, which is courtesy of their ten placings (three winners). B R Millman does not have a great record at Windsor; their LSP of -86.08 has them stone dead bottom of the trainers' list, which has come from seventeen winners from one hundred sixty-nine runners, which is a 10% strike rate.

When looking at profitable jockeys only, then it is William Buick who leads the way with a total of thirty-two winners, producing an LSP of +15.57, whilst Tom Marquand leads the overall list with fifty-nine winners but shows a loss overall. If you are looking for a jockey to follow in the eachway market, then it is Nicola Currie who leads the way at Windsor. They have had a total of eight placings, which includes three winners for an eachway LSP of +45.52. With an LSP of -94.92 at Windsor, David Probert heads the list for worst jockeys at this course, which is a result of fifteen winners from one hundred ninety-eight rides, which is a strike rate of 8%.
