Form tailed off badly towards the end of last season, but this course winner is a much better horse here @ Newton Abbot where they are currently running @ 50 percent. Good jockey back up and shrewd trainer has an impressive 43 percent with a Lsp of 28.00 on his hurdlers here last 5 seasons, making current 12/1 solid Ew value in the race.

The Neil Mulholland-trained, Conor O'Farrell-ridden Al Sayah has 2 wins from just 6 runs. The 5-year-old Golden Horn mare has room to improve off a mark of 101 and in this grade.

Won here last month in the most recent start. Expect another good performance here after being pretty consistent before getting that win.

Frustrating type but he showed some solid form last spring when a close-up fourth at Ascot. He has won a point since, though his rules form has been well below that level. Interesting if the addition of cheekpieces works.

Came good at this time last year - rattled off a hat trick and 2 runner-up efforts. Disappointing last 2 runs and has changed yard - has since had a wind operation and now only 2lb above last winning mark. Course winner and seems to be happier on good ground. Looks good each way value.

Bensini won in 2023 following a 155-day break, 2m4f good. First time out last year after a 226-day break, looked to have every chance, travelling as well as anything when UR two out. Enjoys the quicker good ground he will get today. Rider's claim and just 1lb above last winning mark, the 9yo looks to have a better chance than odds suggest.

Chabadatika is the more solid of the two. She’s shown signs of improvement recently and runs off a workable mark. With experience over the trip and a competitive weight, she looks capable of making the frame if she continues progressing.
