Aramram beat the other 20 competitors, and any other year would have won. He can still improve as he's only four, and he can gain a well-deserved win here.

Last time Elmonjed and Aramram met in April, Aramram was in receipt of 8 pounds and race fitness, leaving Elmonjed a couple of lengths adrift. He should be sharper for that with a six-pound swing in the weights and better ground today. He has every chance of reversing the form. Run Boy Run would have been closer to Aramram last time without a poor start and could rate a danger.

Completely Random proved well-named form-wise last season on turf and AW surfaces. Seems to have trained on since and is 2 wins from 2 runs this season, the second and most recent one on turf at Leicester, winning well after trouble late in the race. That was the best race he's been in and best victory, so this extra 6 pounds might not stop him while in the mood.

Eun Boy Run has raced three times this term with two seconds and a fourth. He is coming back in trip to six furlongs, which can see him landing this Hong Kong Jockey Club Handicap with conditions looking suitable, with Richard Spencer's horses running well.

Concern here for anything coming from off the pace with a lack of any forward goer here. Whilst I’m nervous going against Run Boy Run, who I backed last time and could get the run of the race, he is closely matched with Aramram on that form. The pair saddle significantly more racing weight in this easier race for the grade. I’m going to take a small chance on a change of tactics for this horse, Dorney Lake, who couldn’t get involved in a race last time where the pace held up well. He has made all in the past as a 3-year-old, and with little pace in here, he could well end up being ridden closer to it and get a nice tow into this, drawn alongside Elmonjed, who I expect to be fairly prominent. With the second favorite drawn alongside him, I’d hope this horse is just drawn around the action enough to stick on again being towards the bottom of the weights.

Now a 5 year old he finished 5th behind American Affair at Musselburgh but although he weakened Oisin M eased when all chance of being in the 3 had gone .Simon Crisford's stable is not really in form and the horse apart from an initial win has not really performed since he came from John and Thady G .99 stone 12 pounds to shoulder Hannons horse does look dangerous getting weight however Will Buick may just conjure some improvement from that last run which hopefully means involvement

Finally took advantage of dropped mark by winning LTO at Goodwood earlier this month, but now operating 2 lbs higher than last winning mark, which is fair and still gives him an opportunity to win tomorrow.

Generally has a smart record when he is fresh, dropping to a double-figure mark for the first time since May 2023. Handles any ground and although he did not have a great 2024, he showed enough at times to think that there are still some races in him.

Firmly at the bottom of the handicap mark in this field, going through a barren run that means the last win was back in 2022. Only 4 wins from 44 runs make for grim reading. But after a series of AW runs, I think he will welcome a return back to turf, where all 4 wins were on turf. The mark continues to drop, which presents some opportunities.
