Tropical Speed comes out top on most people's ratings, but Ryan Potter's Pooleys Promise is worth keeping an eye on. She has competed against half a dozen highly-fancied winners since December and not really had a chance to be competitive. Certainly not in the trainer's backyard track of Hereford. The jockey booking of Brendan Powell is eye-catching, as he rides mostly for Joe Tizzard. This is only Pooleys Promise's third race in handicap company, and she still has time to improve for a small yard that plotted up the winner of the Eider Chase in February.
