With parts of the UK waking up to snowfall this morning and cold air hitting much of the country there is an increasing fancy on where will see snow land on Christmas Day this year.
Ladbrokes latest betting market sees Edinburgh and Newcastle both sit at 7/4 in the market with north of the UK looking more likely to see snow falling there this year.
The betting market focuses on various airports across the UK seeing snow fall with the Met Office tending to use airports due to their open space making them great places for observations for weather.
Previous odds on this market saw Scottish cities lead the way and it's Scotland's capital which tops the betting market alongside Newcastle now.

Parts of the UK across Northern England, Wales and the Midlands have woken up to snow this morning with other parts of the UK starting to see snow as the day progresses.
More than 130 schools have closed in Wales today as well as 40 in the West Midlands as the UK looks to cope with the icy conditions today.
The Met Office has this morning warned that we could see as much as 20cm worth of snow depth in some parts of the UK.

2024 could be the second consecutive year that we see a White Christmas called in Scotland with last year officially a White Christmas according to the Met Office.
The Highlands of Scotland saw snowfall last Christmas with both Tulloch Bridge and Aviemore officially declared as having a White Christmas.
Despite that cold snap up in Scotland, 2023 was declared as the UK's hottest Christmas since 2016 after temperatures of 13.6C were recorded at Exeter Airport on December 25.
