Bookies give odds of 7/2 that highest ever temperature is recorded in the UK this year

June has seen a whole host of heatwaves hit the UK, with temperatures soaring over 32 degrees in parts of London last week. 

This has resulted in bookmakers giving odds on the UK to record it's highest ever temperature at some point in the rest of 2022.

At odds of 7/2, there's a 22.2% chance of that happening according to the betting market, with even more sunny days on the cards over the next few months.

The opposite of that though is the UK to record it's LOWEST ever temperature in 2022, but thankfully that's out to 20/1 for that to happen.

The coldest temperature ever recorded in the UK is -27.2c back on the 30th December 1985 in Braemer, Scotland.

Snow to fall on Christmas Day in London is just 11/2 with bookies

The last time the UK celebrated Christmas Day in the snow was way back in 2010 and it looks like that dry spell may continue according to the odds.

Bookies are giving just a 15% chance of snow in London on Christmas Day, with no snow recorded in the south of England on the festive holiday since 2004. 

The odds of a White Christmas is always an intriguing market, with so many different parts of the UK experiencing different climates on Christmas Day.

Since 1900, London has seen a total of just 10 White Christmases, with 25cm recorded on that 2010 day which was the last time we saw it.

The ever-changing climate means that there are a whole host of different betting specials around the weather in the UK for the remainder of 2022.

It's no surprise to see bookies offering odds on any day having the most rainfall EVER in the UK for the rest of 2022, as well as the most snowfall too.
