Michael B. Jordan is the favourite to be the next Superman ahead of new movie
Michael B. Jordan is the bookmakers favourite to be the next Superman after DC Studios new co-chairman James Gunn announced a new direction for the character.
Jordan, famous for his roles in Creed and Black Panther, is now 5/4 to be the next Superman with a 44% chance of doing so according to the odds.
James Gunn will be wanting to get the DC movies back onto the level they were at with Batman's Dark Knight trilogy and a reboot of the Superman character may be needed for that to happen.
Next Superman Actor | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Michael B. Jordan | 5/4 | 44.4% |
Matt Bomer | 6/4 | 40.0% |
Oscar Isaac | 5/1 | 16.7% |
Donald Glover | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Zachary Levi | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Matt Bomer is the close second favourite to be the next Superman and he has actually performed as the Man of Steel in the past.
Bomer voiced Superman in an animated film 'Superman: Unbound' back in 2013 and 10 years on he could act as the superhero.
Creed star Michael B. Jordan is the early bookies favourite to replace Henry Cavill as Superman after DC Studios' announced that Cavill has been dropped in the role as the famous Superhero. There's a 44% chance of Jordan taking over according to the latest odds!

Henry Cavill left The Witcher last month and now leaves his Superman role
Henry Cavill left his role as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix series The Witcher last month with his focuses fully remaining on his role as Superman.
The reports when he originally left The Witcher were that Cavill wanted to commit fully to a training regime to play Superman yet again.
Cavill had been in the role since 2013 but just weeks after he announced his return as Superman he was dropped by DC Studios.
Cavill is now 2/1 joint favourite to be the next James Bond
With Henry Cavill now not being in The Witcher or Superman, it leaves the actor without two of the biggest roles that he has performed as.
The British actor has been linked with the James Bond role in the past and the stars may well have aligned for him to slot into the 007 role.
William Hill now make Cavill the 2/1 joint favourite alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson who had recently been backed into favourite for James Bond.
Next James Bond | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Henry Cavill | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Aaron Taylor-Johnson | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Tom Hardy | 6/1 | 14.3% |
Regé-Jean Page | 8/1 | 11.1% |
James Norton | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Chiwetel Ejiofor | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Dan Stevens | 12/1 | 7.7% |
Bookies have now slashed Henry Cavill's odds to be the next James Bond after his departure from The Witcher and now Superman in the past month. This leaves his schedule wide open to be the next 007 and there's now a 2/1 chance it happens.
