I've spent over 20 years inside the betting industry. I'll guide you to avoid the hype, ignore the noise, and steer clear of the common pitfalls that catch out everyday punters.

  • Marc Spellman is 9/4 to have returned for a 4th Got Talent appearance according to betting sites
  • Fans think Ant could be The Witch but 5/1 betting odds suggest not
  • Stephen Mulhern just 4/1 with bookies to be in diguise

Confusion still reigns and speculation mounts as to the 'real' identity of both The Witch and The Phantom magic acts on Britain's Got Talent this year, two magic acts that have caught the publics' [and the judges] imagination with some spooky sleight of hand and illusion.

Speculation is rife as to the identity of The Witch on Britain's Got Talent with Ant & Dec considered, but the likelihood according to bookmakers odds that Marc Spellman has returned again, or perhaps Stephen Mulhern

Such is the speculation that some betting sites are offering odds on a range of markets, from whether either will win the show, if they could be Multiple NTA Award winning presenters Ant & Dec in Disguise, or even if Marc Spellman has returned once again, the latter the most likely possibility at 9/4, although the odds on it not being the 2 time BGT act, [semi finals 2018 & runner Up 2019] are just 1/3

Who is The Witch on BGT?

The Witch Odds Probability
Marc Spellman 9/4 30.77%
Stephen Mulhern 4/1 20.0%
Ant McPartlin 5/1 16.67%

There have been some claims that fans of the show have identified The Witch by his eyes, claiming a likeness to presenter Ant, and although there is a shot of Ant and Dec right at the start of the act with the Witch in the background, the possibility is not entirely ruled out.

The Phantom

The Witch is not alone in being the only Mystery Act on BGT this season as we have also seen, or not see, as the case may be, The Phantom.

The Phantom was never seen on stage, rather inviting Judge Amanda Holden onto the stage to partake in the illusions.

Having no visual of this act, unlike The Witch who was heavily made up, there is no clue and this could also be Marc Spellman, or another magician using the hidden identity mystery that served Shin Lin and Marc Spellman so well previously on other versions of the show.

Who is the Phantom on BGT?

Betting on Britains Got Talent also offer the opportunity to predict the identity of The Phantom

Who Odds Probability
BGT Crew Member at end of Scene 6/4 40.0%
Marc Spellman 9/4 30.77%
Ben Hanlin 20/1 4.76%
Dynamo 33/1 2.94%
Derren Brown 50/1 1.96%

Will The Witch of The Phantom Win?

While mystery surrounds the identity of these two intriguing magic acts, you can bet at 12/1 for either to win the show outright and go on to perform on the Royal Variety Performance.

The current favourites are Born to perform from Northampton, who leads the pack at just 4/1 with bookmakers.
