Bookmakers make Finland the 2/5 favourites to win Semi-Final 1

Finland are the heavy favourites with UK Betting Sites to win Semi-Final 1 of this year's Eurovision Song Contest which is set to take place in Liverpool on Tuesday evening.

Their odds to win Semi-Final 1 have moved from 8/11 to 2/5 in the past fortnight with the latest odds giving Finland a 71% chance of winning the semi-final.

Despite Sweden being favourites to win the whole thing they are behind Finland in the Semi-Final winner with these events solely voted for by the public.

William Hill have Sweden as the 9/4 second favourites for Semi-Final 1 with the public set to pick Finland over Sweden in tonight's Semi-Final.

Semi-Final 1's official running order sees favourites Finland as the last act of the night which could also be part of the reasoning why the odds are the way they are.

Eurovision Semi Final 1 winner Odds Probability
Finland 2/5 71.4%
Sweden 9/4 30.8%

Sweden remain favourites in the outright market to win the Eurovision Song Contest

The Eurovision Song Contest final will be both public voted and jury voted which is why Sweden are the favourite in that market despite being behind Finland for the Semi-Final betting.

It looks like Sweden will be popular in the Jury voting for Eurovision and the betting odds make them the 8/11 favourites to win the Song Contest.

Finland are 5/2 second favourites to win the whole thing this weekend with a 28% chance of doing so according to the betting odds.
