Mary Earps is the new favourite at evens to win the Sports Personality of the Year award
We have a new favourite in the Sports Personality of the Year betting market with England goalkeeper Mary Earps now evens with UK Betting Sites to win the award.
Earps was England's star player at the World Cup earlier this year with a string of big performances including a massive penalty save in the World Cup Final in Australia, where her side lost 1-0 to Spain.
Despite England not winning the World Cup there has still been steady support for Earps in the betting market with her odds slowly tumbling down throughout the past few weeks.
Bet365 have now put Earps as the evens favourite to be crowned the Sports Personality of the Year with those latest odds suggesting a 50% chance that she does so.

Former favourite Stuart Broad drifts slightly to 2/1 to win the SPOTY award this year
Former England cricketer Stuart Broad has been favourite ever since he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket during the last Ashes test this summer.
In that Ashes series, Broad became one of only five players to take 600 test wickets moving him firmly into the legend category if he wasn't cemented there before.
Broad put in a heroic display on the final day of the fifth test to take the last two wickets and wrap up a win for England to draw the series.

Frankie Dettori was the shortest price at one point but has since drifted after retirement U-turn
Frankie Dettori has been the shortest price in the market for a period of 4 or 5 months this year when he confirmed he would be retiring from Horse Racing.
Dettori has since done a massive U-turn by confirming he will continue to be a professional jockey by continuing his career over in America.
The 52-year-old will now unlikely be a winner of the award in what could well have been a shoe-in if he went ahead with retirement.
