Full 1xBet Bookmaker Review

1xBet has garnered praise from bettors and the OLBG review team alike for its great odds across multiple sports, strong coverage or politics, specials and TV betting, with minor sports better represented than most other Irish bookies.

Verification at 1xBet is rated very easy, with more than eight payment methods available; payouts processed instantly, and customer support operates through multiple channels.

Fully licensed to operate in Ireland, 1xBet maintains a medium level of fund protection.

This review of 1xBet is based on the important factors – odds, markets and platform usability. First Impression of 1xBet

Luke Bradshaw Lee

My First Impressions

Everything is as you’d expect when you land on the 1xBet homepage. The styling is simple, with a blue and white that is commonplace among sportsbooks, with very little in the way of bells and whistles. The different sports can be found across the main menu, with featured markets just below.

- Luke Bradshaw Lee, - Your Sports Betting Guide 👍

Live Betting

All the in-play markets can be found through the “LIVE” part of the sports menu. There’s plenty of sports on offer, and the drop down will show all available. At the time of review there’s a selection of football, basketball, tennis, cricket and horse racing, plus some more minor sports. . You can check if they make it into our best bookmakers for in-play betting here.

Live Streaming

1xBet doesn’t offer any live streaming at the time of review.

Betting Odds

This appears to be quite a strong point for 1xBet. We checked tennis, football and basketball for in-play odds, plus football, horse racing, and cricket for pre-match and antepost odds. These are right up there with some of the big bookies, especially for the likes of horse racing and football. There’s also plenty of minor sports covered, and the pricing here seems to be on point. Overall, it’s very impressive.

Betting App or Mobile Site?

The 1xBet app is really good, but if you want to just use their mobile site, then that’s still an excellent option. The main navigation menu is clear and easy to use, but the real winner in its design is the search tool at the top. Not only can you search a sport, you can search for a team and bring up all their upcoming events.

⚽ Football Betting

Compared to our best football betting sites, 1xBet scores well, even if it doesn’t make the Top 10. The strengths are the event coverage, the market depth and, especially, the odds. As mentioned you can get value here that is as good as most bookies, if not a bit better. The downside is that there isn’t much in the way of promotions, and for football, you’d like to see something. On top of that, there’s no live streaming, however, and the in-play betting isn’t as good as some others, which is why it doesn’t quite make our top 10.

Bet Builder

Unfortunately, 1xBet has no Bet Builder feature.

Bonuses

This is pretty poor overall. The main source for promos is multi-sport, and that gives bettors free bets if they lose 20 bets. That means there’s an obvious focus on rewarding loyal customers, and it also goes across all sports and types of bet, which is good, but there isn’t any of the usual offers. I can’t even see any odds boosts, for example.

Cash Out

Cash out is a very important betting feature for punters these days so it's crucial that bookies integrate this feature into their mobile betting apps. 1xBet have done this well, allowing their customers to instantly cash out their bets on any device they like.

🏇 Horse Racing

The horse racing at 1xBet is fine, but, and there’s a theme starting to build here, the focus is on the odds and value, and not much else after that. If you just want to bet on some winners at a good price then this offers a great option. If you want to start getting a bit more creative with your betting then you’re going to struggle, because there’s no option for Tricasts or Forecasts, and I can’t seem to build multis. If you want to place a treble, Lucky1 or anything along those lines then it doesn’t allow you to, which is pretty disappointing.

The odds alone make it solid enough, even without the added extras, but you can see how they compare to our top 10 best horse racing betting sites.

🇺🇸 US Sports Betting

A full range of American Sports is available, including all the major leagues, plus college games and the same sports across the globe.

🏈 American Football Betting

The American football betting at 1xBet is okay. In terms of product design, I’d like to see greater focus on each game’s spread, and then total, rather than moneyline odds. It’s actually quite difficult to work out the spread (probably the most important market in American football), without scrolling through all the options and comparing the odds. It all feels clunkier than it should be.

It’s a shame that that’s the case, because on the plus side there are actually tons and tons of markets, plenty more than most other bookies. If it was presented in a better way this could be really good, but as it is it really makes you work to find it.

It’s worth checking out our best NFL betting sites to see how 1xBet compares.

🏀 Basketball Betting

1xBet has a great selection of basketball leagues to bet on, there are hundreds and hundreds of competitions. There’s obviously the NBA, but 1xBet covers a wide range of EuroLeague and domestic world competitions, including leagues in Uruguay, China, Costa Rica and Australia, among others. There are also plenty of markets per game, with game, team and player markets covered impressively but, like the American football betting, it’s quite tricky to find. It’s quite impressive once you’re there. You can also compare 1xBet to the best basketball betting sites.

⚾ Baseball Betting

1xBet covers the MLB in decent depth, but they also have competitions from Japan, South Korea, France, the Netherlands and a few more. The markets, and the odds, especially on the outrights, look pretty good. The MLB season is well underway and there are loads of things to bet on per game, but there’s no option to bet on futures, which does seem a bit odd.. Keep tabs on the top baseball betting sites though, to see why they make it onto our list.

🏒 Ice Hockey Betting

There are lots of competitions around the world included here. Aside from the NHL, there’s some Czech, Finnish and Russian fixtures included, among others. I selected an upcoming NHL game and there are loads of markets listed – more than pretty much anywhere else. For the smaller leagues that reduces a bit more, which is understandable. It’s quite nice to see some odds on the NHL Draft, also, that’s definitely something that you won’t get everywhere. Like the other American sports, unfortunately, there’s no markets for futures.

🐕 Greyhound Betting

1xBet doesn’t offer any greyhound racing betting at the time of review.

🎯 Darts Betting

Matthew Edgar

Matthew Edgar

- Your Darts Betting Guide 👍

1xBet has loads of markets per match, which is great to see, because there are other betting sites that don’t cover matches like this. That’s let down by the fact that there aren't any outrights or future events to bet on e.g. the winner of the PD World Championships. Most major competitions are covered and each match has markets for result, legs, checkouts and handicaps, but it’s all match-specific.

Snooker Betting

Steve Madgwick

Steve Madgwick

Editor-In-Chief

As with other sports, the snooker betting at 1xBet is great, assuming you just want to bet on a match, and aren’t interested in any long-term markets. For some upcoming games I can see markets on Match to go to a Deciding Frame, Total Frames, Leader After Frames and plenty more. But I can’t bet on who I think will win the Masters, or the World Championships, for example.

🏉 Rugby Betting (Union & League)

By Luke Bradshaw Lee - This is a bit clogged. 1xBet doesn’t union and league into different categories which, and then orders alphabetically, so when looking for different competitions you are jumping from one code and/or country to the next. You can use the search function to find in the first place, but scrolling through this is a bit jarring. That said, there is pretty much every competition that you’d want to be included here, which is really good to see. For rugby league there are more competitions here than most other bookies, with loads of markets for NRL, plus Super League and RFL competitions included, too. See how they compare to our best Rugby betting sites.

🏏 Cricket Betting

James Banting

James Banting

Expert Guide

1xBet offers all the competitions that I’d expect to see, plus a couple of extras that I wasn’t with some domestic events and leagues all over the globe. I also really like how many markets are available here for each game, assuming it’s not miles away in the future before teams are announced etc. Take the player markets, for example. For most matches you’ll get top batter, top bowler (plus the same again per team), man of the match, player to score a 50/100 and individual player markets for the top players. For matches that are a bit of a way off, there are still some good futures and antepost markets to take advantage of, even if the number of markets per game drops off a little, but overall I’m pretty happy with the cricket betting here.

🎾 Tennis Betting

By James Banting -  I’m really impressed with the tennis betting options on 1xBet. There are all the majors listed for next year, with outrights offered on all, and for upcoming matches there is a decent selection of ATP, WTA, Challengers and ITF matches also. The odds are pretty good. Scanning the ATP matches over the next couple of days I can definitely get some value here, so that, coupled with the great event coverage, makes this absolutely somewhere that I’d come back. See if they make it into the top 10 tennis betting sites on OLBG.

🏌️ Golf Betting

By James Banting -  As with all the sports listed on 1xBet, it clearly displays how many games there are to bet on per sport. When I went to check out the golf section there are 108 different events so I already know that there’s going to be enough before I’ve even clicked and dug any deeper. As expected, all the majors are there for next year, plus more immediate, smaller tournaments such as the Magical Kenya Open, TGL and Mexican Open. It’s worth checking our best golf betting sites to see how 1xBet compares – but generally this is pretty good.

🏎️ Motorsports Betting

Andy Powell

Andy Powell

Expert Guide

With plenty of Formula 1, Nascar and MotoGP all the bases are covered for motorsport, bar some speedway. The odds look pretty good when comparing against other Irish bookmakers. For Nascar there is the Nascar Cup Series, Xfinity and World Truck Series so I can’t really ask for much more to be honest. For each Grand Prix in the F1 season, especially the upcoming one, I would like more markets – there are only three (winner, top three and winning constructor) – so there is some improvement to be made there for sure.

🥊 Boxing Betting

Frank Monkhouse

Frank Monkhouse

- Your Boxing Betting Guide 👍

There’s a decent enough amount of boxing to get stuck into here, and the markets look dependent on how far away the actual fight is. Those this weekend and over the next few weeks have an okay offering, whereas the further away they get the less markets on offer. That’s understandable, and I wouldn’t expect to find round by round and the like for fights that are months away, but I would definitely like more options for big bouts this weekend, and that’s definitely limited based on my experience with 1xBet.

Other Sports Betting

Whilst these sports might sound very niche, there is still a large enough market for fans, and millions of them in Ireland, so good coverage of niche sports and events is key to be reviewed on OLBG; let’s dig in a bit further.

🗳️ Political Betting

Nigel Skinner

Nigel Skinner

Expert Guide

This is really extensive. There won’t be many other bookies that cover politics markets in countries as wide as Bolivia, France, Israel and Turkey, on top of Ireland, the UK and the US. The Irish, UK and Australian markets are pretty deep, but the US one is enormous, maybe the biggest that I’ve ever seen. This is a strong point from 1xBet.

🎭 Entertainment and Specials Betting

Jake Ashton

Jake Ashton

- Your Betting Odds Guide 👍

Listed under the Specials tab, this is varied and pretty good overall. There’s markets here that you won’t find anywhere else, like what celebrities are going to name their children, Town of the Year awards in particular countries, and Taylor Swift engagement odds. On top of that, there is an entire additional TV section, which has a huge number of markets to take advantage of. These also include awards ceremonies like the Booker Prize, Nobel Prize and big awards shows. There’s LOTS to bet on here.

Casino

1xBet does have casino. It's incredibly easy to find their casino offering from their sportsbook, with banners across the top. They also have some bonuses and offers that lead to casino spins should you win sportsbook bets. Check our Casino Sites page for dedicated new online casinos and slot sites.

Account Opening Process

A reassuringly easy process. At the top-right of the screen 1xBet has their “Registration” button. Bettors just need to select this and follow the simple steps as guided through. You’ll be asked for the usual information – name, date of birth, address etc – and once complete be sent a verification email. Clicking this from your inbox will redirect you to the site, and then you’re free to get betting.

Navigation and user experience [desktop v mobile]

The 1xBet app is really good and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s been built to cover all bases. It does exactly what you want and that is not to feel too far removed when you switch from one device to the next, but also being product-led, and designed to suit its purpose as a proper mobile version.

Placing a bet

This section should only really highlight if there are issues, as the process is almost identical on every site. Within a few minutes of signing up to 1xBet I placed a couple of bets on different sports, one of which took advantage of the welcome offer, and I used their bet builder feature, which was very indeed.

Managing your account

As mentioned above, the design really helps this along. On the desktop version, it’s stuff to the  left of the screen. On the app, it’s all at the bottom, with just the login at the top. I haven’t experienced any issues logging in, or finding customer service options, either. Overall, it feels like 1xBet has got this part nailed.

1xBet Responsible Gambling Features
