  • All the English league clubs enter the EFL Cup which normally starts at the end of July/beginning of August.

  • The EPL clubs who are not in Europe join in the 2nd round, and they are then joined by the EPL clubs who are in Europe in the 3rd round. 
  • A total of 90 games are played before we discover the winner.
