Race 5 at Worcester today is a Novices (Class 4) for 4-year-olds and upwards over 4,023 m. The suggested wager is for the each way on the 5-year-old mare Brooklyn Callin from the Nicky Henderson yard, and she will be ridden by James Bowen. This daughter of Ocovango won a point-to-point and recently ran her first rules event, which was a rather weak debut. However, she followed that up with enormous improvement, finishing just over 2 lengths off the winner. Being from the Henderson yard and with the improvement shown, she should at the very least find a place here and should not be ignored.

Favourite looks a bit too small a price to back so it might be worth looking for an EW chance. This one from the Skelton yard is dropped in class a little now after a couple of encouraging bumper runs. If progressing from those runs, could get involved particularly if the two market leaders under perform.

Decent horse on the flat but has disappointed in only two outings over the jumps. The trainer has a few runners, 5 over the last 14 days, 3 placed. This horse has the potential to show he is better than his form so far. EW
