Won over C&D and was unlucky in this race last year. Did not get the best of runs last time out at Wetherby. Change of jockey might help, and with a clear run, should make amends and win again.

A big price for a horse that was unlucky last time out at Wetherby 13 days ago. Beaten a short head, it can improve here to go close.

A wide-open sprint handicap where 12/1 shot Gis A Sub appeals. He has dropped to a very good-looking mark and ran well last time at Newcastle, doing his best work late on. A nice high draw here looks a big plus, and he does also go well here.

Should go well again after winning last time out at Wetherby under the same jockey. Stable in form at the moment. A safe each way selection with five places on offer.

Paul Midgley's stable remains in good form, and I can see both of his runners outrunning their odds in this. Maybe worth splitting stakes at the prices. Gis A Sub didn't have the clearest of runs on the last run, and Mrs Trump, although no world-beater, has conditions in her favor this afternoon and is now two pounds below her last winning mark. She has hinted that her turn may be at hand. With 5 places on offer, 9/1 looks a steal, and there has been a bit of money for her early doors. This trip can see her outrun these odds.

The 4yo filly has gone close in all her four races this year, all over 5f, good ratings posted and plenty of winners coming out of those races. She has a good draw, she has run well over 7f previous and this 6f trip could be ideal. She was rated 11lb higher this time last year.

Possibly not suited by the drop in trip when a beaten favourite over 5 furlongs at Ripon last time out. Won over the extended 5 furlongs at Wetherby in April 2024 off a mark of 61 and races 10 pounds below that today racing off 51.

Korroor finished 3rd behind rival Golden Prosperity last time in a classified stakes at Nottingham. He has run in classified stakes in his last three races, winning his first at Newcastle in March. He has also been running mainly on the all-weather in the last year but is equally proficient on turf, although yet to win on it, and does not want rain.

They are dropping this one back down in trip/grade with the same jockey on board. Worth a small each-way saver bet for the 5 places available.

What a race to end the card here at Thirsk, and it's just a lowly Class 6 race. You may well think it's a bit of a pin sticker, to be honest, and you could be right. But I'm going for a return to form for Chester Le Streak after returning this year with some pretty poor runs. I believe there were problems which were discovered and treated, and if not losing too much fitness, he should be back on form in this race or maybe the next. But I will give him a go each way today in this very competitive race.

It's all about the jockey for me here since Beasley has been 2nd and 3rd on his two rides on this horse. On each of those runs, there are collateral form lines for close-up horses, which suggests this lightly raced horse could be capable of being competitive off this mark of 53. There are several clues that the horse should easily be in the 60s ratings on the evidence of those two runs. I'd like to see the jockey use hold-up tactics for a change, which I also think would improve her chances.
