5:10 Redcar Tips

Had two runs this year, both over 7 furlongs. Won a big 6 furlong race at Ayr last year. Joanna Mason keeps the ride and is a very capable jockey. Acts on good to firm and good, so everything should be okay. The weather forecast at the moment looks reasonable. I have two horses to keep an eye on: Brave Empire and Mythical Phoenix. Brave Empire has changed stables, had a wind operation, and now wears a tongue tie. I'll be watching for a decent run from this one.

Archduke Ferdinand is very much of interest at this price based on the run before last and lands the plum draw here at Redcar. Could definitely see the scenario where he makes the running, and he looks at a workable mark that could make him tough to catch.

Showed up well enough for a long way on his return to action. That was a much tougher race than this one and he was eased off when beaten. This is his second run after a wind op and he sports a tongue strap for the first time. Won second time up as a 2yo and as a 3yo so should be improvement to come on his second start of this season.
