Lightly raced 4-year-old trained by Ed Dunlop who has potential off his current mark, for a trainer who does well here having had 12/54 wins at Pontefract. Done exceptionally well last time out after first-time wind surgery and a 339-day break, trotting up by 3 lengths. He is a third foal related to two individual winners and out of a dam that was ground versatile and won three times on turf, posting a career-high RPR of 102. So there is potentially scope for improvement in Superposition off the current mark and he is my short-priced banker of the day.

Good stable, improving 5-year-old. Has won its last 2 races from the front, making all at Kempton, beating Kaaranah. Recorded an RPR of 79 and last time out made all over C/D, quickening tempo 2 furlongs out and running on well inside the final furlong. Beat Milteye, recorded an RPR of 83. 5lb rise but good claimer takes off 3lb. Serious chance.

Goes well fresh, and this combination is usually a winning one. I won't be surprised if this one is ready. May not appreciate this stiff finish, but I'm willing to take a chance at the price in this race.

A 3-time career winner between 7f and 1 mile who won over this CD last September. Looked in need of the run when well beaten at Redcar on the first run of the season 3 weeks back but could bounce back returned to this venue for a yard that has had a couple of winners this month.
