He's now back on the mark he last defied 2 years ago, winning a similar race to this at Warwick easily, beating Espion Du Chenet by 6L. To be fair, he could have won by further if he wanted to. The jockey eased right off towards the line. He went up 8lbs for that and finished a solid 2nd behind Noahthirtytwored at this track, beaten 4L by the winner. To be fair, he was giving 21lbs in weight to the winner. Still a solid effort off a career-high mark. He's not shown much since then, barring his most recent run. He finished 2L behind the well-handicapped winner Saint Segal at Chepstow, beaten just 2L by the winner. A repeat of that effort here would see him go very close in this company.

HANG IN THERE with C/D winning form is clear top-rated and will find these calmer handicap waters much more to his liking. He will be much better suited by the forecast quick NH ground and the booking of ace jockey Harry Cobden probably means he carries some stable confidence.

The model I run suggests Mayhem Mya can get the nose over the line first in this one. Not too fancied by the early market, but steps out for this race with the highest RPR of the 8-runner field. The official rating gives it significantly less weight to carry than the top couple of horses. Top speed ratings are closely matched.
