Declan Carroll's horse, nothing went right for this one last time out at Thirsk. It went off as the favorite but stumbled leaving the stalls and then did not get the best of runs. Might bounce back with a tongue strap fitted and breaking on terms.

Soul Seeker is an 8-year-old gelding trained by Philip Kirby and has done nothing in three starts since leaving David O'Meara, who won 9 out of 54 races on turf for the previous trainer. He is a 9-time winner over 5f and a CD winner and loves to hear his feet rattle, winning 9 times on good or good to firm ground. His last win came off today's mark of 68 by 2.75 lengths under Jason Watson (no claim) and runs today off a lowly 61 with an apprentice taking off 7lb. He also comes to hand this time of year, winning 7 out of 9 of his races in July/August/September, with 3 in July. There are a couple of negatives in Donagh Murphy, is 0-12 wins, and Philip Kirby hasn't had a flat winner in any of his last 66 runners on the flat and 128 days since last, but given conditions are optimal, there remains some hope in this small field (4 out of 9 wins in fields of 7 runners or less). A chancex is taken at 16-1 with 3 places available with some bookmakers.
