I'm very strong on this Richard Hughes newcomer. The stable's juveniles are generally running well, and there is nothing really to oppose it with here. My NAP bet.

Lady Gormire is a 2-year-old filly trained by Kevin Ryan (339 yo winners since 2012 80 of which won on their debut. She is sired by the useful Lope De Vega and is owned by Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, who is a 59-time winner from 234 2-year-old runners on turf in the last five years. His horses are in fine fettle, winning with 5 of his last 7 runners. Lady Gormire is a full sister to Involvement and is 2/9 wins trained by Simon & Ed Crisford and recorded a RPR of 108. Out of a dam, Lady Of Dubai, who won a listed race at Goodwood and placed in a listed race at Newmarket, and got beat 2.5 lengths in the Investec Oaks. She may need further in time, but trainer Kevin Ryan won this race in 2022/2023, so she may be primed and ready on debut. However, two concerns are the application of a hood and the booking of Shane Gray, who is 0-14 at Haydock but has ridden 32 winners since 2012.

Really well bred lots of speed in the family. Owners known for having classy horses especially for the shorter distances. Ed Bethell has 27% strike rate when teaming up with Connor Beasley. Owners have 21% strike rate at Haydock with their horses.

Wren Runner is in stall number 9. This 2yo chestnut filly by Kameko showed signs when finishing seventh, beaten 6 and a half lengths on debut in a Goodwood maiden over 6, racing freely and doing too much early. Trainer Andrew Balding's juveniles often improve from their first run, and the yard is going well. The step up in trip may help if she settles better, and although the draw is not ideal, she can improve. Each-way shout.

Small each-way tip for Maw Can who is making her debut in what is a decent race. Newcomers from this trainer often run well first time out, she's drawn well. Has some good form in her pedigree, mainly over further trips but for now, 6f is an ideal starting point. Very small each-way tip.
