Calymore has been dropped 10lbs in his last 8 runs, 7 of which were on the all weather, i think hes a better turf horse and ran his best race for while lto when returned to turf at Newmarket. He was going best and looked like the winner 2f out there and went on to finish 2nd. He drops 2f in trip here which should suit and he wont mind if the rain has got in the ground. He was an easy winner on soft on debut. He looks very well handicapped and a good each way bet

Magico was slightly unlucky not to win on debut & has shown improvement since then. He is a horse to watch in this race especially if the pace is fast that will suit him.

Placed 10th among 13 in a handicap at York 29 days ago. Hood being used for the first time. With trainer and jockey both in great shape, this 4 year old can certainly make his mark if he returns to his peak form. An each-way bet looks like a solid option at 25/1.

Having pieced together the form of this horses first 2 runs (the latest was an easy uncompetitive win where we didn't learn anything), I came to the conclusion that this bottom weight should be rated ar around 81-82 so this mark of 76 looks on the generous side to me, as do the odds. The trainer has his horses flying at the moment and it's interesting that he's started using Jack Doughty to good effect this season who is a jockey that I rate really highly.
