Full BetDaq Bookmaker Review
It’s the type of place that experienced bettors come to when line shopping or arbitrage betting. Or if people have enjoyed sportsbooks but now want a little extra. This isn’t for casual punters looking for novelty markets or niche sports to bet on. There are lots of sports that aren’t covered here, or even markets within certain sports or events, and that’s fine.
The BetDaq sportsbook is good, but the exchange has incredible odds. BetDaq concentrates on low commission rates, and is a must-have for people who love arbitrage betting. On top of that, BetDaq definitely matches its competitors in terms of supporting statistics alongside the market display, and out of the four sites BetDaq should be your go-to for exchange multiple betting. You can place doubles, trebles and other multiples on their exchange, as well as offering interesting betting and trading articles, with market mover information
Only charging 2% commission, compared to 5% on Betfair, gives a decent enough reason for customers to sign up for a Betdaq account. Over a year that lower 2% can make a big difference to your annual profits. On £50 profit you would only pay £1.00, compared to a maximum £2.50 on Betfair.
betDaw Review Summary
As with any exchange, BetDaq is all about the odds and value that you can get.
Advantages and Disadvantages
All explained in greater detail in this review, these pros and cons allow users to scan and understand where the strengths lie quickly.
Pros
- Exchange multiples available
- Must have account for arbitrage betting
- Innovative promotions
Who are BetDaq?
BetDaq is the second biggest betting exchange service in this country, only second to Betfair. As a place where you can take and place bets against each other, rather than just the sportsbook yourself, it’s a great place to find fantastic odds.
First Impression of BetDaq
My First Impressions
There’s no bells or whistles, fancy design or trinkets at BetDaq. The style, even the font on the logo, does all feel a little dated, but there is a simplicity here to like. It’s definitely easy to find what you’re looking for, and there aren't any nasty surprises, so you get the sense that more of the effort has been put into the substance, rather than the style.
- Luke Bradshaw Lee, Senior Sports Betting Editor
Live Betting
As you’d expect, the live betting here is great. BetDaq has plenty of events – maybe not as many as others, we’ll come to that later – with plenty of markets in each. It goes without saying, but the odds are fantastic. Across some football, tennis, snooker and darts, it appears that each one has a really good selection of markets, with plenty of data and supporting statistics alongside.

Live Streaming
BetDaq offers live streaming on UK and Irish horse racing and greyhounds.
Betting Odds
There is a variance, depending on whether you use the exchange or the sportsbook. The latter has decent odds across the board, but the exchange has fantastic odds. There are four major exchange betting sites in the UK - Betdaq, Betfair, Smarkets and Matchbook. You’ll get better odds here than any sportsbook, but there is a commission to pay. Crucially, BetDaq’s fee is 2%, compared to 5% elsewhere. On top of that, you can bet on multiples on BetDaq's exchange.
Also, remember that it is always worth checking alternative betting options, including best spread betting sites and betting exchange sites, depending on who you are as a bettor.

Betting App or Mobile Site
Although they look similar, are built on the same platform and have much the same UX
⚽ Football Betting
BetDaq offers a very broad range of football markets, with odds that are better than most. There’s obviously the major leagues and competitions, but bettors can also find domestic leagues as varied as Algeria, Finland, Hong Kong and Peru. There is a good range, but it wouldn’t be right up with the very best.
Bet Builder
BetDaq doesn’t have any bet builder function as part of its service..
Bonuses
There are also some decent promotions but most are on the exchange. You can get 0% commission on your first 100 days of betting, and you can opt in for £1,000 cashback on your first month’s commission.
Cash Out
Cashout is a very important betting feature for punters these days so it's crucial that bookies integrate this feature into their mobile betting apps. BetDaq do this well, allowing their customers to instantly cash out their bets on any device they like.
🏇 Horse Racing
The horse racing section at BetDaq is nice. The odds are, again, among as good as you will find,, and the market coverage is great – South Africa, the US, France, Australia and more on top of UK and Irish meets.
BetDaq (the sportsbook) also has BOG (Best Odds Guaranteed). This is on all UK racing and whatsmore, you can get it from any time on the same day, that’s better than most. There is also no restriction on the maximum cap. This is a really excellent example of Best Odds Guaranteed.
🇺🇸 US Sports Betting
A full range of American Sports is available. Of the major leagues in the US, there’s no MLB season currently, but it’s good to see some futures and outrights, regardless.
🏈 American Football Betting
This isn’t great. I’d like to see the three main markets for an American football game from the off, here it’s just the spread, and what I (and most NFL fans)want is to see the spread, moneyline and total. If you can only see one, then spread is the best, but there’s no reason not to show all three straight up. Generally the amount of markets is fine, but nothing more. It’s worth checking if they make it in our best NFL betting sites.
🏀 Basketball Betting
There’s a decent variety of leagues here in terms of global coverage. There’s obviously the NBA, but BetDaq covers a wide range of EuroLeague, FIBA tournaments and similar, plus leagues in China, France, Serbia and Australia, among others. Unfortunately there is only a limited amount of markets per game, six for an NBA game tonight, for example.
⚾ Baseball Betting
BetDaq doesn’t offer any baseball betting at the time of this review. Keep tabs on the top baseball betting sites though, to see why they make it onto our list.
🏒 Ice Hockey Betting
The NHL takes up the bulk of space here, as expected. But there are also some Czech, Finnish and German fixtures, also. I selected an upcoming NHL game and there are only a couple of markets listed. For the smaller leagues that reduces even more. This is a very basic offering, and it’s clear that they’re just relying on their great odds.
🐕 Greyhound Betting
There’s live streaming on most UK races, but there is no Best Odds Guaranteed, which is a bit of a shame. Scanning a few races over the course of the day I can see that the only markets offered are often Win or Each Way, there’s very rarely anything more than that. The odds are fantastic, but it is limited in times of betting choices.
🎯 Darts Betting
By Matt Edgar, professional darts player – In terms of darts betting sites in the UK, BetDaq is a fantastic option for odds (as I’m sure others will say for other sports), but that’s the sole focus here. You get five or six markets per match – this is for some Premier League games – including Result, Total 180s, Highest Checkout etc. If you want more selection it’s better to look elsewhere, but if you want value, you’ll be hard pushed to find it better anywhere else.
Snooker Betting
By Steve Madgwick - As with the best snooker betting sites, there are markets for a few different tournaments, including the World Championships, the Masters and World Grand Prix. BetDaq keeps things very simple, limited even, in terms of the markets that they provide per match. That said, the odds on these markets are exceptional.
🏉 Rugby Betting (Union & League)
By Luke Bradshaw Lee - Unfortunately there is only rugby union here, no rugby league. In terms of market coverage, there’s some domestic competitions – in Premiership, URC and Top 14 – plus European competitions and upcoming international fixtures in the Six Nations and Sevens circuit. The markets within these are okay, not much more, but the odds are world-class. See how they compare to our best Rugby betting sites.
🏏 Cricket Betting
By James Banting - This is generally okay. Ideally I’d like to see some more events covered, but there’s a decent amount nonetheless. The odds are really good, and this is probably somewhere I will return to for my cricket betting because the actual number of markets listed per event is better than most I reckon.
🎾 Tennis Betting
By James Banting - Overall, I think the tennis betting at BetDaq is fine. There are some competitions beyond the Slams, as this goes down to Challenger and ITF level. At the time of review there’s an Australian Open game going on and the odds are great, with supporting stats alongside the markets themselves, but there aren’t a tonne of markets. If they could add in more markets, and some tennis-specific promotions, they’d definitely be closer to getting into the top 10 tennis betting sites on OLBG.

🏌️ Golf Betting
By James Banting - There are some competitions and events listed, but not a lot of market depth within. There’s also no outrights or futures on upcoming major tournaments. The odds are what make up for that fact, however. There’s no promotions, but that doesn’t matter – BetDaq is where I come when I’m looking for value and line shopping. Compare them to our best bookmakers for golf betting.
🏎️ Motorsports Betting
By Andy Powell - BetDaq doesn’t offer any motorsport betting at the time of this review. Check out our top 10 betting sites for motorsport.
🥊 Boxing Betting
By Frank Monkhouse former professional boxer - There’s lots of boxing bouts to get stuck into here, and the markets look dependent on timings. Those this weekend and over the next few weeks have a decent offering, whereas the further away they get the less markets on offer. That’s understandable, and I wouldn’t expect to find round by round and the like for fights that are months away.
BetDaq Other Sports Betting
Whilst these sports might sound very niche, there is a massive market for fans, and millions of them in the UK, so good coverage of niche sports and events is key to be reviewed on OLBG.
Other Sports at BetDaq 🌍🏀🏐🚴🎮
BetDaq offers diverse betting options: handball 🏆, volleyball 🏐, cycling 🚴, Aussie rules 🏉, and esports 🎮. Explore global matches, detailed stats, and infinite markets.
BetDaq offers extensive betting options for Handball, volleyball, cycling, AFL betting, and esports. Handball includes global competitions; volleyball, covers European Championships and various tournaments; cycling features future tours and current races; AFL betting has comprehensive stats and esports offers all major games like League of Legends and CS:GO.
🗳️ Political Betting
BetDaq does do political betting, but only just. ASt the time of writing there are odds on the US Presidential election, but that’s it. I’d obviously like to see more beyond that for me to use BetDaq for political betting consistently.
🎭 Entertainment and Specials Betting
By Jake Ashton - This is a bit disappointing. There are odds on The Oscars, but that’s it. It would be great to see some UK reality shows, or awards such as Sports Personality of the Year, but overall this is very limited.
Casino
BetDaq does have casino. Despite the name of the brand, it's incredibly easy to find their casino offering from their sportsbook, with banners across the top. They also have some bonuses and offers that lead to casino spins should you win sportsbook bets. Check our Casino Sites page for dedicated new online casinos and slot sites.
You can also check out OLBG’s latest addition; our Best Bingo Sites. All of which are, obviously, sites fully licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.
BetDaq Account Opening Process
A reassuringly easy process. At the top-right of the screen BetDaq has their “Join Now” button. Bettors just need to select this and follow the simple steps as guided through. You’ll be asked for the usual information – name, date of birth, address etc – and once complete be sent a verification email. Clicking this from your inbox will redirect you to the site, and then you’re free to get betting.
Navigation and user experience [desktop v mobile]
One thing to know straight off the bat is that BetDaq has two apps – one for the exchange and one for the sportsbook. This is different to the desktop or standard mobile versions, where you can flick from one to the other using the tabs in the main menu at the top of the screen. Both apps behave in much the same way, built on the same platform, and designed so both feel familiar to one another.
Placing a bet
This section should only really highlight if there are issues, as the process is almost identical on every site. Within a few minutes of signing up to BetDaq I placed a couple of bets on different sports, one of which took advantage of the welcome offer, and I used their bet builder feature, which was very indeed.
Managing your account
As mentioned above, the design really helps this along. On the desktop version, it’s stuff to the left of the screen. On the app, it’s all at the bottom, with just the login at the top. I haven’t experienced any issues logging in, or finding customer service options, either. Overall, it feels like BetDaq has got this part nailed.
Responsible Gambling Features
You can set your deposit limit while you’re signing up; long before you’ve got close to actually making a bet.
There is also a Settings tab at the bottom of the page, no matter what page you’re on, that allows you to make changes to limits, as well as odds formats, or odds change preferences/notifications.
There are the following measures within its functionality:
All are explained in further detail on their safer gambling page. As well as this, on the same page they list links to the likes of the National Gambling Helpline, Be Gamble Aware and the National Gambling Treatment Service.
Responsible Gambling
There is a full suite of responsible gambling tools for your protection and may request further identification after certain depositing levels are exceeded or stakes are increased quickly.
