Weather betting specials continue to be offered for Christmas Day this year with cold spells expected to become more common in the next fortnight ahead of the festive season.

The latest forecasts from the Met Office now says there is a "small chance" of snow across parts of the UK towards the end of the month and the end of 2023.

Reports from Sky News said that the forecast is uncertain but it doesn't look like there will be a White Christmas this year away from some parts of Scotland with more chance of snow falling towards the new year.

Glasgow remains favourite in the betting market to see Snow fall on Christmas Day this year with the latest odds still saying there's a 33% probability of the white stuff falling on the 25th.

William Hill's market features plenty of different cities across the UK with the North dominating the market as the South looks unlikely too see snow in comparison.

Other global destinations make an appearance in the betting market to see snow fall this Christmas with New York leading the way in the market for the international cities.

New York's JFK International Airport has a 20% chance of seeing snow fall on Christmas Day this year with Paris Charle de Gaulle International Airport out to 14/1 for snow.

Central New York has started to see snow this week with strong winds a couple of inches of snow expected to fall in the next 48 hours.

Odds also given on what UK City will be the warmest on Christmas Day

It isn't just betting on there being snow on Christmas Day that bookmakers are offering now, with markets also looking at which City in the UK will be the warmest on 25th December.

London is unsurprisingly the favourite to be the warmest this year with the English capital city the shortest price at 7/4 to see heat at Christmas this year rather than snow.

Luton is second favourite in a market which is dominated by the South with Glasgow a 16/1 outsider to be the warmest UK city on the 25th December this year.
