White Christmas odds now make three Scottish cities joint favourites

Weather betting specials continue to be offered ahead of Christmas Day with UK Betting Sites of course offering odds on there being a White Christmas this year.

There's usually always markets around Christmas to see snow falling in the time of the year where the weather turns colder and we do sometimes see snow fall.

This year we've seen reports that there will be snow in Scotland this Christmas Day with the Met Office giving yellow warnings for Snow and Ice over Christmas in the North.

Storm Pia has gradually made its way towards the UK in the last 48 hours with wet weather and wind storms hitting periods of the North and West and that cold weather may bring snow too.

William Hill say that Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh are the favourites to see snow fall this Christmas Day with all three Scottish cities currently at 5/4 in the market.

Newcastle is the favourite for snow in England

With the North of the UK expecting to see snow in the next 7 days, it's Newcastle that is the favourite in England to see snow fall this Christmas.

Chillier spells are hitting the country this week and even a flurry of snow could happen at some point on Christmas Day in Newcastle.

The Geordies have a 33% chance of seeing snow fall on Christmas with Leeds and Manchester following behind at 3/1 and 4/1 in the market respectively.

Global destinations also feature in the betting market

It's not just cities in the UK that feature in the betting odds, with international cities also featuring in the market including Paris and New York City.

New York is 4/1 to have snow fall this Christmas Day with bookies saying there's only a 20% chance of the American city seeing snow in 3 days time.

Temperatures are still mild at this time of the year with the colder snap not expected to take place until next month and February.
