White Christmas officially declared in 2023 after snow falls in Scotland
Bookies also offered odds last month that we would see a White Christmas in the UK and that was officially declared after snow fell across parts of Scotland on Christmas Day.
Christmas Day further south though was one of the warmest there has been, with 13.6C recorded in Exeter the warmest since the 13.3C that was recorded back in 2016.
It’s more than 100 years since we saw the hottest Christmas Day ever though in the UK with temperatures reaching 15.6C in Killerton, Devon way back in 1920.
