What the expert says...
Kevin De Bruyne leads the odds to win the PFA Player of the Year award with bookmakers making him 9/2 to win the award for the third time in his career after winning back-to-back awards in 2020 and 2021.
Four of the top five contenders in the market play for Man City
It's not just the Premier League title race that is dominated by City but the odds for PFA POTY next season with Rodri, Phil Foden and Erling Haaland all following De Bruyne in the odds.
Foden is expected to be crowned winner of the 2023/24 award later this month which would make it two in-a-row for Man City players after Haaland won the award back in the 2022/23 season.
Haaland scoring just as many goals as he has the last two Premier League campaigns will definitely see him in the conversation to win another PFA Player of the Year award.
PFA Player Of the Year Betting Odds
Last season's award still hasn't been announced with date set for August 20
Despite the players casting their votes towards the back end of last season, the PFA has again moved its awards show to the eve of the new season kicking off with the show taking place on 20th August.
Manchester will host the event and the National Football Museum is currently showcasing the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards ahead of the ceremony later this month.
Manchester City’s Phil Foden was as short as 1/5 to win the award when odds were last available and it doesn't look like there will be much challenge to him for the award.
Foden's chances of winning the award for another season currently sit at 14.3% which puts him third in the betting market.
