Donald Trump New Favourite to Win the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize After Putin-Zelensky Peace Push
US President Donald Trump has emerged as the new betting favourite to win the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, following high-profile talks with Vladimir Putin earlier this week and upcoming meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Trump has long made it clear that winning the award would be a defining part of his legacy and bookmakers have reacted to recent diplomatic moves by slashing his odds.
According to William Hill, the US President is now 5/4 to land the honour, moving ahead of previous market leader Yulia Navalnaya, who drifts to 2/1.
Further work in stopping the Russia/Ukraine war would ultimately see his odds shorten even further and give him a real chance of winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

Context Behind the Market
Trump’s face-to-face discussions with Putin in Alaska have sparked global debate, with reports suggesting he is working to broker a potential ceasefire framework.
His planned meeting with Zelensky will be closely watched and could define his Nobel credentials.
Meanwhile, Navalnaya, widow of late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, remains a strong candidate, particularly given her symbolic leadership role in the fight for democracy and human rights.
Elsewhere, naturalist David Attenborough remains in contention at 10/1, while UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini are priced at 14/1 each.
