Ruud van Nistelrooy moves into 2/1 to become the next Manchester United manager

Betting odds are still available on who will be the next Manchester United manager with bookies already giving odds on who would be Erik ten Hag's replacement if he was to leave.

Former United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is the 2/1 favourite after joining the club in the summer as ten Hag's new assistant manager on a two-year contract.

This instantly brought on rumours that the coach was brought in as back-up if the Old Trafford outfit eventually would sack ten Hag and bookies have added to those rumours by shortening his odds.

BetVictor now put van Nistelrooy clear at the top of the betting market with a 33% implied probability given that he takes over at United next.

Erik ten Hag is joint second favourite in the next Premier League manager to go market

The latest betting market on who will be the first Premier League manager to leave their role this season sees United boss Erik ten Hag as the joint second favourite.

United's mixed start to the season, including a 3-0 defeat at home to rivals Liverpool, continued on Saturday with a 0-0 draw away at Crystal Palace despite dominating for the majority of the first half.

This again has led to question marks around ten Hag's position and now sees him sat at 6/1 in the market to be the next manager to leave, with full odds in our report below.
